What a disappointing loss. I put it on the coaches. The fumble is the most obvious. They snap the ball and the colts don't take the lead like they did. Also the fact that they continue to show up to games not ready to play. Half games won't cut it down the stretch. And the penalties..........God those penalties! We looked sloppy, but there were some very suspect calls too. I won't blame the refs, but damn was it heavily one sided. I wish someone would bring this o the league's attention. Despite all that we were in position to tie it with the momentum on our side. Overall though I'm tired of losing to the colts. The better team on the field did not win and I honestly believe that. I don't know what we do the rest of the year, especially now that the t*** seemed to stop losing. I only hope that we blow indy out in three weeks. What a disappointing loss.
Dude, they are not losing to TEN, JAX (again), STL, SEA and MIA...let it go...i'm sorry you you won't be able to criticize.
Ya, I was screaming at my tv for them to hike the ball. Horrible decision to let the clock run out and give the Colts the 2 minute break to decide to challenge....ugh.
I agree. I'm still fuming about how we didn't snap the ball before they called a challenge. Don't forget, though, about how we allowed the Colts, on fourth down, to lure our defense into being off-sides, keeping their drive alive and allowing them to score. We played with great stupidity.
We didn't just do that - we called a timeout (wasting the timeout) to give them plenty of time to look at replays and think about challenging. WE GAVE IT TO THEM.

Hopefully seeing this clearly explained in the national media will prove educational for the Texans organization. Good teams don't have these types of errors. This was a first year head coach, supported by what seems like an astute assistant and player. It appears at least some of the Texan players were clued in, but unfortunately it stopped there...
Looking at the replay, I'm not sure that Bethea wasn't out of bounds when Moats landed on him and then subsequently fumbled. Either way, Kubiak is a grade A dumbass for not running another play when this was obviously up in the air.
i'm more pissed off about the giants losing to the chargers by one. Grr! the texans need someone new in the booth, they've always been awful. Like all of you, I too was screaming at the TV. I would volunteer for the job. =) As for the refs, they should have called the game a little more evenly. Really..clark was in a defenseless position? He was going to catch the ball! On Schaub's last sack, where he threw the int, that was leading with the helmet... if compared to the hit on clark.
The Texans are who we thought they were!!!! I am sorry but, Kubiak still looks clueless when it comes to managing games--both having his team ready to play and handling the game decisions. For years he has looked terrible on challenges he's called and he should have damn well knew Indy would challenge the fumble if given a long break to review every replay angle upstairs. I still could possibly put this on Matt Schaub on managing his offense, but I've heard coaching has somewhat tied his hands to even changing plays at the line. It's probably because he does stuff like hanging on to the ball too long and throwing into triple coverage after locking on to his reciever. Those things don't give the coaches much confidence in your decision making. Even though the offense didn't wake up until halfway through the game, the defense kept it close and made this game very win-able. This team has a lot of talent, but has yet to play like it. I will keep my hopes up for them, but mainly focus on our Rockets who seem to squeeze every bit of effort and talent from their players by knowing their talents/shortcomings, and likewise, know their opponent each game.
I'm proud of the way the Texans played. They went to Indy and played the kind of game I've been waiting 8 years to see out of this franchise, really, against a tough team like that on the road. The penalties made us look like a Jerry Glanville team, though! (and yes, i'm still bothered by the fact they can only seem to score in one half or the other) When they play in Houston in a couple of weeks, the Texans win by 10 or more. They're going to blow the Titans out on Monday Night Football. This is a good football team. They're going to be in the playoff hunt right down to the last game of the season. I think they win enough games to find a spot in the playoffs.
they did not call a timeout, why do people keep saying this, it was the two minute warning, they were trying to let the clock run as much as possible as to not give the Colts a chance
It's been pretty common knowledge for 3 years that we don't audible much at the LOS. The way our offense is run in the passing game allows for options against most defensive looks. Matt is there to execute the game plan, not call the plays.
oh, i know...i wasn't arguing with you...just expressing my frustration with it. seriously, my 9 year old was going, "snap the ball, snap the ball, snap the ball!"
