Neither Miami or the Redskins look anywhere near as impressive as we expected prior to the season. Hopefully this will mean some good things for us over the next two games.

It pretty much went the way I expected it to when the game counted. Next week we have got to see some life out of Mario. Another 2 weeks of performances like this and the fans are gonna be screaming for his head.(some already are)

Some weird combination of ineptness between our defensive backfield and coaching staff. They killed us with those under routes...somehow we never successfully stopped that play.

I was actually wondering perhaps our O-line isn't as bad as it looks (it still sucks royally to lose Spencer). The defenses we've faced should get some credit - the Colts defense is really good, and Philly's pass rushers put Eli Manning on his back a whopping 8 times today.

Carr and the offense looked OK against the 2nd team defense. If other teams will just play their 2 nd string defense I predict we will win 7 games.

4-12...if we get a couple lucky wins. Somethign like that Pittsburgh win where we had 31 yards of offense. Actually the Washington game is the key to the season. Win it and we will win 4. Lose it and this could be a dreadfully long season. If an 0-2 Washington team that lost convincingly to Dallas comes in here and beats the Texans...this will be a long season. I am talking record breakingly long. how does a 3-29 stretch sound? Before we go crowning the Eagles as 'one of the best teams in the nfl' lets keep in mind that they just lost to the giants at home.

On Carr's stats. they were impressive. But his throwing is no different than a running game. Teams will give you those littls 2 and 3 yard outs...they are just like a run. He is gifted. He can put the ball where he wants to put it when he has time. He even got the ball out amidst pressure, that is a good sign. He has all the measurables but NONE of the intangibles. He needs some red kryptonite.

At first I was all, "about time!! :)", but then I was "WTF?" WOW, what made you change your mind, if you don't mind me asking?

    Carr's final stats:
    18 comp., 9 incomp., 208 yds., 1 TD, 0 INT, 5 rushes for 25 yards.

Someone bring up the Rosenfels argument again. I don't see him throwing for 400 yards against the Redskin defense, throwing 3 touchdowns, no interceptions.

Why do people keep mentioning 2 string defense? Just because it was a blowout? Well, the starters were still playing in the 4th. Heck, even Manning was going for a touchdown with 3 min left.

Except that he is averaging over 8 yards an attempt, which if he keeps up, will put him in the top 3 amongst NFL quarterbacks. And that stat is probably the most important stat when looking at QBs.

That game, other than maybe the Cowboys or Dolphins game, was the best this franchise has ever had.

Kind of sad, since it was such a terrible offensive game. But to completely dominante a game with almost zero offense was just astounding.

Pittsburgh fans will never forget that one. Although when we did it the national media almost completely ignored it.

The Colts gained 124 yards on 3rd down plays.

We need to remember that Faggins and Buchanon are both out. We're getting killed at the CB position. There has to be a better option out there besides Lewis Sanders. Can't we sign some veteran out there without a job?

I have been thinking the same thing. At least they have two proven superstars to build around. Who are the Texans building around? Admittedly, they have played two of the league's best teams, but they look absolutely horrible. Coaching may not be the problem.

Only saw half the game as they swtiched to the GD Buffalo/Miami game after the Colts scored on their opening possession in the 3rd Qtr...

I saw enough of Carr to know he has improved slightly, but not enough to say, wow, if only this or only that were better, we'd win...His stats are deceiving, especially when it the game was over...

I am just thankful we managed to score at all. After last years record, I just want to see double digits on the scoreboard next to the Texans.

i don't see how 4-12 would fall anywhere but in the "dreadfully long season" zip code.

this year was/is about improvement. period. anyone expecting better than 4-12 three weeks ago was drinking too much kool-aid. mixed with crack. and drano.

how is 4-12 appreciably better than 1-15? besides, you realize the team still has oakland and then tennessee twice, right? both are currently worse than the texans.

washington was in the playoffs last year; they have more playmakers on defense than we do on offense and defense. it's highly likely a loss; shouldn't shock a soul. it's possiblethey'll be 0-6 going to nashville.

is intangible a fancy word for competent coaching? offensive playmakers? a defense that doesn't put him in a hole he can't dig out of?

carr has shortcomings; lacking make believe abilities is not among them.

the problem is, the hype from the local media had us believing they'd be better than that. no question about that.

and 4-12 in season one was ok...particularly when you could see improvement. and they were in games you didn't expect them to be in.

looking for moral victories in blowouts in year 5 is beyond discouraging. no one expected them to beat the colts. but, geez, if we could look like we belong in the same league as them that would be nice.

I think the next 2 games are winnable. It will be nice to play a couple of teams that aren't Superbowl contenders for a change.
