yeah why even care about tackles. let's care about where mario is really making a difference with the pass rush. and he brings so much energy to the game. he just looks like a born leader. I am glad I bet against the texans.
I'm in Reno help me out here. Does this look like a team trying to find themselves or is it a flat out diaster of a team?
Notice how Manning threw the ball away right before getting clobbered from the *blind* side. Manning > Carr on pass rush recognition.
So three touchdowns and 30 points later our defensive coordinator finally figures out that he needs to send the blitz after Manning.
http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/ Peyton Manning has had scrimmages tougher than this Quick thoughts... •: The Texans didn't even fold this quickly in the Dom and Charley years. Sack on the first play. Fumble on the second. And 87 seconds later the Colts have a 7-0 lead. It's 20-3 at halftime, but doesn't even feel that close. This game was over after two minutes. • If Charles Spencer is seriously hurt, they would be worse than losing one game. He's one of the things that had gone right. He's on his way to establishing himself as a Pro Bowl left tackle. • The Texans were a different offensive team after Ron Dayne entered the game. OK, I'm grasping at straws, but it's something. The Texans had -8 yards in two drives with Wali Lundy as the featured back. Their first three drives with Dayne netted 37, 5 and 55 yards and the first points of the game. • Here are the first quarter passing stats: Colts 106, Texans -2. (Reggie Bush update: 6 yards, 5 carries. Hah!) • Mario Williams lined up mostly at left defensive end and still didn't do much. Anthony Weaver is the team's best defensive lineman by a wide margin. • Things could have been worse. The Texans lost two fumbles in the opening 24 minutes, but David Carr twice threw the ball into the hands of Indianapolis defensive backs. At one point in the first half, the total yardage was 148-30. Indianapolis receivers seemed to be running alone in the secondary. And as usual, there was no pressureon the quarterback. • Here's how the first four Texan drives ended: fumble, punt, fumble, punt. At least they got into a rhythm. • On his first touchdown pass, Peyton Manning made a perfect 10-yard throw to Brandon Stokley, who'd gotten behind Dunta Robinson in the right corner of the end zone. Wait, there's more fun. After Lundy is stuffed for no gain on first down, Robert Mathis runs around Zach Wiegert and knocks the ball from David Carr's hands. • At halftime, the Colts had 246 yards and had allowed 105.
A little bit of both. Clueless on defense. Offense has some good plays, but has plays making you think what the heck was that. They need to just try Sage just for the heck of it.
Flat out disaster. This team might be able to compete against the Raiders, Packers of the league, but this team has no chance at .500.
we need something worse than disaster. megadisaster? supercraptastic? like watching the rox play with rick brunson and juwan howard x 1000000 times worse?
No doubt, and he just fumbled again....the guy has ZERO presence in the pocket, he is clueless back there. DD
