I'm in the locker room. I talk to the players. Are you? Not to mention that basically every player in the locker room and every player/media member around the league raves on his leadership: http://blogs.chron.com/fanblogtexans/2007/04/is_schaub_already_one_step_ahe.html You can say a lot about Matt Schaub, but to say he's not a leader flies in the face of every piece of evidence we've ever had. And no, unless you're in the locker room and talk to the players, like I do, you guys talking out of your asses isn't the same. So, I'll ask again -- what's your evidence to the contrary?
It was only a matter of time before one of those DEs got their hand on the ball. They nearly did it a few times in the 1st half.
for the love of god quit repeating what you hear on TV. throw in a couple thousand more cliches while we're at it. WTF does rallying the troop mean? WTF are you talking about? I mean, are you listening to yourself? if a military leader is in charge of a group of troops armed with swords, do you blame him for not "rallying them up" when they're about to go against tanks and fighter planes? quit this leadership crap. Either you can play, or you cant. Either you have accuracy, or you don't. Either you're mobile, or you're not. You handle pressure well, or you don't. Leadership has NOTHING to do with this.
Our schedule is fairly easy. We'll win games when it won't matter and at least finish at 8-8 esp if the Pats have nothing to play for in the last game. 8-8 will get Kubiak fired.
Yes, I am. There are a lot of things you can determine watching on TV. Leadership is not one of them. Leadership isn't the expression a guy has on his face for a split-second at one specific instance. It's how he conducts himself and relates to his teammates every second of every day. We're in no position to critique that watching on TV. If his teammates are questioning it or media members around the team are questioning it, that's one thing. But in reality, it's the exact opposite -- they all praise it, without fail. Leadership isn't a quality you can tangibly judge based on three hours of football every Sunday. It's just not.
You see what happens when we air it out and take advantage of their weakened secondary opposed to attacking their strengths that is their front seven with predictable running plays?!
freaking BINGO! I guess me and you are on the same page about the NFL, not so much in college football
Um, how much do you think the camera is on Schaub on the sideline -- maybe a combined total of 15 seconds every Sunday? Unless you're in the stands staring at the guy, you're in no position to judge based on those criteria. (And using those criteria is pretty silly, too, but that's a different discussion.) There's plenty of ammo to use against Schaub based on what you actually know and can tell from the game today. Stick with that.
