wth is going on with all the injuries in Indy? As a Texan fan, I'm all for whatever edge we can get but this is getting out of hand.
Maybe Peyton made one commercial too many? Who cares? Its not like we're the model of health either. Considering its our D and their O taking a hit, it should be interesting.
One of the things the Texans have struggled with over the years was their red zone efficiency. Sometimes they had trouble scoring a TD and settled for a FG when they got inside the 20. There hasn't been any talk about the Texans red zone troubles this year. That's because they have excelled at it. The Texans are #1 in the league in red zone efficiency this season. They have scored a TD 70.59% of the time when inside the 20. I believe that's one of the reasons for their success this season. Seven points is a whole lot better than three points. The Texans were a perfect 4/4 last week in the red zone. Keep that up and the Texans will put up a lot of W's this season.
^ that is an area where they have improved. although i would hate to see their defense redzone stats.
Dallas Clark is done for the year according to Schefter. I know Manning is incredible and might discover the next Clark shortly but he was his safety blanket, this is a huge loss for them.
You don't want to know their defensive red zone efficiency. It's last. I'm trying to put a positive spin on the Texans. All this talk about how the secondary sucks and everything, I wanted to give some good news instead.
http://www.stampedeblue.com/ Dallas Clark placed on season ending IR. That should help the Texans secondary a bit, but I have no doubt that as long as #18 is on the field for them, you could plug Corey Bradford into the game, and Peyton will make him shine.
somewhere pollard and cushing are breathing a sigh of relief. Is Brackett still out? He's the Texans killer on Defense. With the exception of the dbag jared allen, I never like seeing anyone gone for the season. I'm sure peyton will still find a way to make that Offense work though.
Great point, as that was my #1 criticism last year. Gotta give credit where credit is due. If we're going to have to score 30 ppg to win because of our defense, getting TD's instead of FG's is a good way to do that.
Wow. Weird as it is, I feel bad about this. He's one of those guys that you just can't hate. Never like to see a great player in the league go down - you never know if they'll be the same again.
Anthony Gonzalez is also back, so going to pick him up right away. Garcon makes the great catches but he sure does drop a bunch, I wonder if Manning will shy away and lean more toward Wayne and Gonzalez because of this?
I agree. The Colts in general actually. As much pain as they have caused us over the the years, that's just a team that I can't grow to hate. Peyton's antics grow pretty old, and they are just about the most frustrating team to play against in the NFL because all their guys seem to make unbelievable plays in the clutch (like last weekend....Garcon AND Francisco's one-handed grabs), I respect the hell out of them. They don't play dirty, they are always respectful of the opposition, and they just play the game the right way.
Very sportsmanlike emjohn. While I don't wish i'll of anyone, when I first read that he was going on IR, I did a tiger woods-style fist pump.
That's how I feel. I was happy the Texans would have to face Clark on the field. The Colts as a team though, even with them in our division and dominating the Texans in their brief history, I don't hate them. There's only 1 team in our division that I dislike, and that's the t***...may they burn in hell. And besides that, perhaps one other team that I love to see lose....that Dallas team.
