I'm not too worried about them going on the road for a long stretch. If anything, we should be encouraged by it. Have you seen the difference in their play home vs the road?
im willing to bet/donate $100 to the tipjar if they finish better than 6-10. mark it down. bye 24 texans 17 4-13 (including bye) i might give them 1 victory over jags thats 5-11 tops. FOR THE RECORD i dont mind kubiak,i just want a new D coord that uses 3-4 and bring in a backup qb and draft a wr because i dont like david anderson as the #4 heres why they lose to the bye. the texans will get outmuscled and lose. the bye has to many players that are physical..all teams that are physical beat the texans 100% of the time.. the texans can beat finesse teams like skins,colts,raiders,chiefs....but more physical teams will outcoach and outhustle this team..thats why they lose and will lose to cowboys/giants/jets/ravens/titans plus great qb's beat us because of the D...so manning, rivers, collins, garrard will pick this team apart.
Of course Dunta sucks. Kareem Jackson has actually been an improvement, which is scary to think about. (Jackson will, by the way, be fine; you can't expect a rookie cornerback to step into the league and shut guys down. It will take time for him to adjust.)
What are you watching? Dunta was simply below average. Jackson has been abysmal. No one is expecting him to shut down a side of the field. I did expect him to be able to stay with his man deeper than the line of scrimmage.
Dunta was bad at everything. I can't remember a single good play from him last season. Jackson has looked lost a lot of the time, but has also made some nice plays.
I could very easily, without hesitation, say that Jackson has been the worst cornerback in the NFL this year. His coverage has been a complete joke. And Dunta may have not made great plays last year, but he definitely didnt continually give up first down after first down to the opposing team.
Dunta could tackle/play the run if nothing else. His coverage skills were bad, particularly deep, but he never routinely gave up 10 yard passes and 1st downs. Like Rez said, EASILY the worst cornerback in the league so far this season. Name a single "nice" play he has made.
First quarter play against the Chiefs where he dove and knocked down the ball before it hit the receivers hand. Only problem was that it was followed by a flag for pass interference. But dammit, so close to a nice play!
You know...I thought so too. I thought Kareem has been the worst...then I saw the Jaguars play and I'm glad. At least I know it can always be worse.
That was a great play, ruined by a horrible call. He's had his moments, I mean dude has an INT and he had some good plays against the Colts oddly enough. He flashes, if you rewatch the games he does make some good plays. Problem is his bad plays usually end up in big plays for the opposing team or even TDs so it pretty much negates anything good he does.
Breaking News: Kubiak realizes that the defense is bad. In trying to find away to improve it, Kubiak finally said Efff it..our kids are just going to have to outscore those bastards. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/hoy_en_la_revolucion/5099389140/" title="The Finest hour by The son of krypton, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1322/5099389140_7e4134da0c.jpg" width="500" height="395" alt="The Finest hour" /></a>
