He still had 13 sacks in 3 years here. Not outstanding but hardly horrible. Meanwhile, Travis Johnson still sucks. How long has Okoye been here?
Essentially, he always was our first Conner Barwin, just drafted far too high (and we paid to move up) for niche passing situation DE. Way too long. Solomon's working up his annual excuse column for him. Apparently we can't judge him until his 8th year in the league. If we cut him, I honest to God doubt he makes anyone's roster, practice squads aside.
It's not like the Texans was the only team he failed at. He also couldn't make it on the Seahawks, Chiefs, or Eagles. Sometimes, it takes longer for a player to develop.
Dang Titans are looking pretty good... I still think we will beat them, but I did not expect them to be 5-2
Yeah. Stupid division. Its gonna be tough taking it, we need to show up with our A game next Sunday. This game will go a long way in competing for the division.
The good thing (or bad thing) is that the texans control their own fate. As good as the Titans are playing, we still play them twice this season, if they can take care of business, they are in good shape.
We might split. They're just 1 year removed from that 13-3 season and they lead the league in point differential. At this point, I'm thinking we'll finish 3rd in the division.
titans defense is going to give us enough issues to where we won't be able to outscore them. That is probably an understatement. Lets the games play-out though, alot of times things don't go as expected.
Next week's game against Indy is a big deal. A Sweep of Indy would be nice and quite the feather in the cap. It would probably be the difference maker. Beat Indy and the Texans are in the driver's seat IMO Rocket River
Titans: a split is probably all we can really hope for. For all the talk about our secondary, I am terrified of their run game. They murdered us last year with the Vince & Chris show. Edge containment is critical. Not having Ryans will be a real blow in this game, we really needed both him and Cushing. Their secondary blows, but their front four is on par with the Giants. Hopefully Kubiak doesn't bungle the gameplan the same way.
The Titans are looking really strong and they're beating teams with both the run and passing game, splitting the series would be big. But while their secondary is giving up a lot of yards, they don't give up a lot of passing TDs and have the most INTs in the league. Stopping CJ and VY is the #1 priority though.
