I am happy for the 5-win total. I am unhappy for the small details that have cost us the 4 loss total. GO TEXANS!!!! Beat the BYE!!!!
With the Houston loss and San Diego beating the Giants, the Texans fell to the 7th spot in the conference. They will fall at least one more spot (most likely two spots) this weekend. Here are the games this weekend to keep an eye on and the results we need to improve the Texans playoff chances. Browns over Ravens. Baltimore currently sits 10th in the AFC and if they win on Monday night they will move past the Texans in the playoff chase. With a Ravens victory both Houston and Baltimore will have identical 5-4 records, but the Ravens will have the edge in conference record, 5-3 to 4-3. Please cheer for the Browns to keep the Ravens behind us. Jaguars over Jets. The Jags and Jets both sit right behind Houston in the AFC standings with the 8th and 9th spot, respectively. We want the Jaguars to defeat the Jets since the Jets own the tiebreaker against the Texans. Even though the Jags beat the Texans earlier this season, we will play them again and if the Texans win that will eliminate the head-to-head tiebreaker. Next up would be the divisional record and I am confident Houston will have a better divisional record than the Jaguars. The most ideal situation is for the Jaguars and Jets to tie. However, since that is unlikely to happen please cheer for the Jaguars this weekend. Eagles over Chargers. Pretty simple to see the reason why we need the Chargers to lose. They are right above Houston in the standings and if the Texans wish to move back into the top six spots we need San Diego to lose. Please cheer for the Eagles this weekend. Those are the three main games to keep watch on this weekend. Other games will affect the Texans playoff chances but have less of an impact as of right now. Those game are Bucs over Dolphins, Redskins over Broncos, and Steelers over Bengals. Go Texans!
lol "DaDarkOne" vs "Swollen Dorito" is an epic argument in the history of this forum, as far as I'm concerned. I *still* can't see Swoly's moniker without thinking, "Swollen Dorito".
Hopefully the coaching staff gets it together so we can play 4 quarters of great football instead of just one half of great football. Seems to happen a lot to them. (For ex. Arizona, San Francisco, and Indy game.)
Well, BYE has a great defense, they have not allowed a point all season. But on the flip side, they have yet to score.
You know what I meant. lol Take the bye week and have the team ready for the full game instead of just a half.
