AJ will definitely be back after the bye week though. Scary to think our offense will get even better.
I don't know if you can say he's faster off the line. And Mario was certainly opening up more room for Antonio Smith, who is now getting the weekly double teams that he was getting. Mario was doing just fine as well.
He's definitely better than Nnamdi this season. Top 2 CB in the league? I can only think of Revis as better.
??? He's faster. Mario is stronger. Mario is an excellent Point of Attack run defender. Reed is better in pursuit. TEs cannot block Mario. I think Barwin will be the OLB off the bench if the Texans have room to bring Mario back. The Texans have OLB covered with or without Mario.
Has Kareem Jackson become average or is Tampa Bay's scouting/receiving that bad? I was thinking I was in the Twilight Zone today not seeing Jackson picked on, but then I heard a Browns fan groan.
One of the reasons i'm still nervous about this team is the fact that we've played so many bad QB's. We've only played 3 QB's i would consider good. Two of them Flacco and Brees lit us up. Brees specifically went after Jackson hard. That is the only concern i have left, will playoff QB's expose our poor corners not named Joseph.
NickScurfield Nick Scurfield Injury rundown from Kubiak: Schaub rolled his ankle. Daniels hyper-extended his knee. Mr Alexander: shoulder. Vickers: hamstring The bye week couldn't have come at a better time.
Any idea from what? He only got sacked once and it was early on. I don't remember him getting hit other than that.
He was already favoring that ankle from the quaterback sneak. Eh, walking boot, no biggie, Big ben was seen by some missing a leg after facing the texans.
Simple, on a scale of 1-10 you could care about something at a level of 5. Theefore, you could care less. For example, I care if the NBA strike gets settled, but I could care less.
Here's the thing, our players aren't static, they can change they can improve. I'm not expecting KJ or Allen to be shutdown corners in the near future but I have been reading that KJ is actually been getting better. You're right in that it's against some bad qbs right now, but all the experience he gets before the playoffs is steppingstones toward becoming a reliable corner where he doesn't become a glaring liability against the better qbs in the playoffs. Color me optimistic on the opposite side of Joseph as the season progresses. Plus a relentless pass rush does wonders for a corner's performance.
O.K., these are NOT the same ole Texans, and defense is the BIG difference. I can't ever remember this team having a defense like this. Frankly, if you let this team get a decent lead, they will simply beat you up the rest of the game or you might get one "courtesy" TD like happened to day which is the only thing I didn't like about today's game. The Texan's are legit, the only really vintage Texan's kind of game was Oakland. They are in a perfect position going into the bye. Get healthy, get AJ back, and the other wounded, take care of business against Jags, Titans, and Colts then surprise the Falcons and Bengals, end of story, maybe (more). Is this the "payoff" season for the miserable seasons we have endured?
