Inexplicably is right. What a random team for someone to jump on the bandwagon for. I mean, the Packers, the Steelers, the NY teams, the cowboys......but the Bucs? Anyhoo... Texans 27 Bucs 13 7-3 going into the bye. Load up on the easy wins before the revenge game against the jags and the tougher games against the Falcons and Bengals.
That's pretty r****ded that they can just black out games if they don't get sold out. I don't see the point of that. It surely doesn't help sell tickets considering the game don't sell out... so what's the point of taking away the game for people who want to watch it on TV?
Yeah I get that... i'm saying it's obviously not working. I probably couldn't stand it. For the people that can't always go to the games, it's taking a right for them to watch a football game for their team. And then they wonder why people are looking for illegal streams on the internet.
NFL has had the blackout rule for as long as I can remember. It works...there ends up being pressure on local businesses to buy up the tickets quite often. Happened some here with Randall's buying the leftover seats in the Dome to make sure people could watch the Oilers on TV...nice PR move.
With Blount's family and friends in mind, I urge him not to try his signature hurdle move on Brian cushing. We win this one 37-10, schaub takes three more rushing tds away from foster.
Yeah, I think Minnesota had it in the 90s. I guess yeah, if you have a local business end up buying the tickets, then yeah it's different. Expecting fans to sell out games when your team sucks because management couldn't do better and then take away their right to watch the game would just piss me off as a fan. I guess from a business standpoint getting a local business to buy tickets would work out though.
Kareem Jackson will return to his form this week to get burnt for 2 td's, but we win with a steady Foster/Tate combo to get the win. AJ sits until the Jacksonville game as well. Texans 27 Bucs 21
I think the weather is the biggest x-factor the Bucs can rely on. Their battered defense will have a tough time against a strong O-line that can cycle two interchangeable top-10 RBs in and out. I'm still hoping Johnson comes back to give the deep PA teeth, but with the bye looming, it's not especially likely. Maybe Jacoby will show up and earn some of his salary this week, or Walter. WTF happened to him. At least we have 3 TEs (if you count Casey) that have been reliable targets. Bucs haven't been exceptional on the ground, and decent at gaining yards through the air. But Freeman has been overhyped (#26 in QBR). He doesn't get sacked...but has thrown a wealth of bad ideas up there that resulted in INTs. Should we keep the pressure up like we have been, there should be at least a couple turnovers generated. And let's hope this holds true: so far this year, he's LITERALLY been hot and cold week-to-week. Odd weeks: 1W-3L, 57.8 QBR, 223 ypg, 3TD-9INT Even weeks: 3W-1L, 96.4 QBR, 279 ypg, 5TD-1INT This will be the next odd game
Texans must continue to prove themselves; no let downs, no lapses, and most of all, no turnovers. If that happens, the good guys roll, 35-17.
I had some friends become Bucs fans during the Sapp years but at least they had the decency to stop being fans after their hay day.
Another "On the Nose with Shaun Cody" http://www.houstontexans.com/tv-med...-weights/ccb1b805-f4b1-4022-b336-2682a4f12605 LOL at Schaub. Cody is slowly become my favorite Texan.
The Bucs play a lot better at home than they do on the road. This looks like a prime target for the Texans to avoid letting the other team hang around. It will bite them in the butt. Another thing, Freeman hasn't done a whole lot of scrambling this season, but it seems the Texans leave a lot of lanes open for the opposing QBs. Might be something that catches the defense off guard to extend drives.
They're just bad in general. 4th worst in total defense, 5th worst against the pass, 7th worst against the run.
