I am not surprised. This is the Mallet I remember from Arkansas. He has a confidence about him, spirited, great passer. Remember, this is his first real chance since he was drafted. Surely those of you who have been critical can see the improvement over Fitzpatrick already.

Either B.O.B has some huge balls or JJ just kills that play in practice all the time

Mallet's tempo is much quicker than Fitz.

What an awesome start to the game. Just need a big hit from Clowney to get this moving!

Well I guess Billy O really didn't trust Fitzy at all. That drive showed more plays than all the games Ive seen to this point.. Ive been critical of the play calling but that was masterfully done. Mallet looks really confident!

I dont know if I like all the work Texans are giving JJ. The tightends cant be that terrible that our DE has to catch balls.

The threat of going down field is what this team obviously has been missing. That opens so much up.

I like the random hurry up component they get in... changing tempo, keeping the defense from changing personnel.

THAT is how New England gets you... its not just their best vs. your best... its ensuring the opponents weaknesses are always being exposed.

That is going to be an unbeatable trivia question....

"Who did Ryan Mallett throw his first NFL TD to?"

Mallett made 4-5 throws that Fitzpatrick has never been capable of making in his entire life.

The passing downfield does not surprise me at all. Watched him a ton in college..and he's definitely fun to watch.

This is hella better than watching Pickzpatrick.
