Umm ... check the stats, the Brownies bite big turds in pass/rush defense. Keep the turnovers and check and depending on the wonderful omni-changing weather along Lake Erie and I say either ... Good weather ... Texans 31, Brownies 20. Bad weather ... Texans 27, Brownies 23. Blizzard ... Texans 14, Brownies 6 Currently forecast says highs in low to mid 40s with partly cloudy skies so, that could indicate a truer finish to the aforementioned first model. When playing in Cleveland in late Nov/ Dec you have to have all bases covered. Frankly, there's no one in the Cleveland secondary that can stop AJ much less contain him.
We have a better defense, but they do have a great offensive line. If our front seven are unable to succeed in getting pressure on Anderson, it's going to be a long day. I definitely would like to see some zone blitzes since they are a pass-happy offense and are not as committed to running the ball.
Sweet merciful crap, man. A Texans win is FAR more important than a fantasy football win......that is, if you are a die-hard Texans fan. If you're one of those "I like the Texans ok....but I'm really a <Cowboys, Titans, VY, any other team in the NFL even though you're not from that particular city> fan, then you and I have nothing left to say to each other. Those people make me sick. I have a nephew who is a Colts fan.....mind you, he's never even WATCHED a Colts game in his entire life....he just likes being them on Madden. So now, whenever I'm watching a Texans game, not only does he root against the Texans, but whenever they flash the Colts score, or show a Colts highlight...he goes buck. I feel like smushing his face.
The Browns are playing much better this year than in previous seasons. It's going to be a good test for the Texans. We have a chance to beat a team with a winning record for the first time this season. The running game will be the key. The Browns have struggled against the run this year, so the Texans should ride the D-Train for all its worth. Whatever the Texans do, please don't kick the ball to Josh Cribbs. He was the one that returned the kickoffs last week against the Ravens to give them good field position for the Browns to eventually get the tying and winning field goals. Texans 28 Browns 23 Gus Johnson and Steve Tasker will call the game for CBS.
Mabye he means teams currently with a winning records. WINS: Kansas City 4-6 Carolina 4-6 Miami 0-10 Oakland 2-8 New Orleans 4-6
Texans in Cleveland has me thinking of way back when when the Oilers were fighting for a playoff spot with Cody Carslon in for an injured Warren Moon. I forget the running backs name, not Pinkett, not Rozier, not.... hell I forget, but anyways he was slow, and Carlson dumped it off to him coming out the backfield and Munchack and Matthews and the whole posse were out front laying opposing players out left and right and he followed the blocks throught the snow for a TD. We're gonna need a play like that to win this game.
Yeah, that's what I meant. All the teams we've beaten currently have losing records. Let's face it, none of them are championship caliber teams. In order for the Texans to go to the next level they need to start beating legitimate teams on a consistent basis.
Lorenzo White.....that was like his coming out party on that play! That was one of the best Oilers games I could remember.....brings a tear to my eye.
I remember screaming for him to run out of bounds to stop the clock...but the dude kept on truckin...good times fo sho.
Are you kidding? Texans and my music go hand in hand. I always hear at least two AC/DC songs everytime I go. But here's the intro for this weeks' game. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z42CcNFkPjY&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z42CcNFkPjY&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I love that intro. My buddies and I used to scream "Go to Mexico!!!" whenever the bull got to that sign every time....eventually we had the rows around us all doing it, too. This should be a good game, lot of O.
