And Vince Young, Terrell Pryor, Jamarcus Russell, Eric Crouch. Plenty of top recruit busts. VY and Russell being the biggest
To be fair, VY is a 2-time Pro Bowler. He didn't have the career to match the hype but he wasn't a total bust like the others you mentioned.
He’s a bust. He was literally the highest rated QB prospect of all time and a top 3 pick. His 2 “probowls” don’t amount to much. They weren’t really earned. I love the home town kid, and what he did at Texas was awesome. But he was a bust in the NFL. Not Russell or Leaf level for sure.
Usually I rock with you Cmoak but VY wasnt a bust... Wasn't anything special after year 2 but neither was RGIII... And I haven't heard a soul mention him as a bust..
That’s probably fair. I should change my definition. I had high hopes for VY in high school. He didn’t amount to what I thought he should have been, really what most thought he should have been. He never evolved as a QB. To go from literally the highest ranked recruit of all time to out of the league and mental issues in a couple seasons is a huge bust to me. But no, he’s not a bust like Leaf or Russell
Dude im with you... I thought he was gonna run the NFL by year 3... I'm probably delusional but I thought if the Texans drafted him, he would've reached that level... Something about being a hometown kid and carrying the city would've changed his mindset...
