i mostly agree - four concerns, however:

    1) they're ranked 10th against the pass and second in defensive passer rating (58.0) - granted, they've played derek anderson, jake delhomme, whoever tampa bay's QB is and chad heine in his first start; they also rattled the rookie sanchez. but they've also faced brady (who they held in check for 3.5 Qs) and brees (who they actually shut down). their defense isn't terrible and they force a lot of turnovers.

    2) the weather, obviously

    3) they have a decent rushing attack. i know the texans have gotten better defending the run but i'm not ready yet to concede they've fixed all their problems; it's still a potentially vulnerable spot

    4) the biggest one for me - the texans have, too often when set up for a breakthrough game, spent the week reading their press clippings and not focusing; i'm VERY curious to see how they come out of the gate in a big game they must and should win.

A major concern of mine is how that bruised lung of AJ's is going to hold up in sub-40 degree weather?? It hurts to breathe even normally under those conditions sometimes, so how painful will it be when you have a lung contusion? Is there any word yet whether or not he will play for sure?

    I hope he doesnt play.

Texans should concentrate on the run game and let Kevin Walter and OD make their money. I still believe OD(like jason witten) is a product of a great wide out. This will be his opportunity to prove his worth.

I really don't care how we win this upcoming game, just that we win it.

Yeah by 14 points would be nice, a blowout would be nice. Win is needed though.

Texans WR Johnson expected to play against Bills

Receiver Andre Johnson did not practice today because of a bruised lung. Andre Davis took his place in the lineup across from Kevin Walter.

Johnson was injured in Sunday's 24-21 victory over San Francisco. He expects to play at Buffalo.

"Andre ran on the side some today," coach Gary Kubiak said. "I'm encouraged by what I saw today. If he doesn't have any setbacks, I feel good about him being able to play."

Linebacker Brian Cushing (foot) and free safety Eugene Wilson (groin) also missed practice. Cornerback Dunta Robinson (hamstring) was limited. All are expected to play against the Bills.

Defensive end Mario Williams participated in every drill.

"We're trying to be smart with them," Kubiak said. "We've got a bunch of guys that can use a break, and they'll get one in two weeks."

The Texans have their open date after they play Nov. 8 at Indianapolis.

Here's one of Andre's quotes concerning playing on Sunday:

"They might have to cut my leg off for me not to be out there," Johnson said.

I just really hope he is 100%. I rather him play the colts game instead.

Andre isn't the smartest guy out there.

They are going to need andre for the season and playing in 40 degree weather with blood in your lungs just doesn't sound smart.

We don't need another yao situation.

    Injury comparison is way off.

I think they're going to scan him again to confirm that he's ok.

Its completely different. This isnt the type of injury you can injure more. At worse, you slow down the healing process. But again, a mild lung bruise typically heals 10-14 days.

I doubt it. The games in Buffalo are usually sell-outs, and the fans usually show.

I'm gonna be an easy target because I put maybe 5, MAYBE, Texans fans in a crowd of 70,000.

Last year, I went to the game in Cleveland, and there were probably 20 Texans fans in the stadium. Most of which were there for Atnwan Moulden, who is from Cleveland. I know this because 80% of those fans had his jersey on.

Seeing as how there's no one from Buffalo (to my knowledge, at least) on this roster, I don't think there will be many Texans fans at all in the stadium.

The cool note is, though, that I will be sitting by the tunnel where our players will enter/exit the field.(I'll be in the 12th row, though, which is a slight downer) My odds of being one of only a handful of Texans fans in that section are about 1 to 1. So, when we beat the Bills, and all the fans leave in the third quarter, perhaps I may be able to saunter 12 rows down and cheer on the Texans as they leave the field after (hopefully) a nice win. :D

Looks like your not going to be the only one rooting for the Texans anymore...

    From Cushing's Twitter...

briancushing56 I heard it might snow this Sunday in Buffalo and I'm pumped. I grew up playing in snow and a bunch of my family will be their from Jersey!

    That's pretty sweet.

It'd be cool if they sat by me.

They'll probably have better seats, though. :p
