LOL. David Garrard? Are you kidding? Agreed on Slaton fumbling, but how can you even bring up "stubborn" run calling after today? We came out firing in the passing game, and for the first time used the pass to set up the run and had more success in the running game than we did all season.
Agree on Schaub, great QBS don't make the dumb picks like last week so he gets over that and its on! Disagree on the run first mentality...it was obvious they wanted to establish the pass from the get go although later on they did revert back to the conservative junk.
This is just one game, Schaub will prove to be a mediocre QB. And Vince will turn it around and be great. There's a little preview for you.
yeah, i said that at the time they gave up 10 points in like 2 minutes....the offense played great, as did the defense in the second half, but they must work on getting pressure on the qb....great win though
HA! Both teams are 4-2 actually so technically you aren't looking down. You're just grasping to that tie-breaker and images of Troy on the sideline and as your pot to piss in.
Yep, 8 mins left and all the Bengals had to do was score. PROPS to our defense from preventing that and putting us into another heart-pounding game. They never let that happen but Kubes was offering the game on a platter, especially with how the Bengals have came back and win games.
What I meant by sticking stubbornly with the run is call running plays again when it didn't go anywhere the play before.
I agree with those concerned about running with 8 min left. Our passing game is unstoppable...why not just put the dagger in their hearts and end the game. Look at the Saints...they were up 41-20 with 7 min left. They threw a bomb...down to the 2 yard line...then ran it in. 48-20. You have to make sure the game is over because anything can happen. And really, we could have very easily been in a situation where that game could have been choked. Im not liking what Im seeing from Kubes.
