Spoiler Stop being so scared and enjoy the ride. We are literally the best team in the league right now. We shouldn’t be “scared” of anyone at this point. Personally, I think it would be sweet justice having peyton and the broncos visit Reliant come January. How sweet would it be to put an end to his dream season? (and we would, in all probability) Talk about exercising some demons from the past….
If you would have told me that Schaub threw for 95yds, 2int, 0td's and the other teams QB wasn't sacked the whole game.. I'd say we lost. in Herm's voice.. That why you play the game! (I think it would have been exponentially easier if we had O.D. in the mix last night)
Can anyone explain to me on the Dobbins hit why there was any discussion as to whether Cutler was past the LOS? From my vantage point (the couch) it seemed very very clear to me that the yard marker was on the Texans side of the 50, probably Texans 49 yard line, then there's the 50yard line and then you had the NBC red line marking the LOS which to my eyes was clearly across the 50 probably at the Bears 49 yard line, there was like a two yard difference where the marker was clearly sperated from the red line by the 50. Yet over and over Colingsworth kept referecing the red NBC line, I'm screaming at the TV that the red line is two yards advanced in relation to the yardage marker with the 50 beign the clear divider. I figured there was little chance of reversal of the penalty but how the announcers kept overlooking this fact made me question whether I understood that the marker actually marked the LOS. Am I the only one who saw it this way?
Me too until they said "it wasn't the yard marker where the LOS was set but where the down marker was at.. The Down Marker was 1 yard past 50. I don't have a DVR to confirm LOS on that paticular down.
Also the commentators said that if any part of his body was still behind the line of scrimmage, then it was a legal pass. The discussion was probably about if his heel was still at the line of scrimmage when he started the throw. That was a close call, glad it went the Texans way. The interception down by contact was also a close call. They got the call right but it didn't seem like the refs actually blew the whistle to call the play dead. Another close one.
Yes this is correct. I made the same mistake when I was watching it. Then you notice that there is the first yard marker, the one yard in the down marker, then of course at the end you have the first down marker.
glad we won but not having owen daniels really hurt the offense. graham had a critical drop and the TE/HB screens were really bad. owen please get healthy and stay healthy!!!
Urlacher said he had no idea how big and fast Arian Foster was till yesterday.. Deceptive combination of size with the speed I suppose..
I just skimmed through each page of this thread to see what the thoughts were regarding asshat Collingsworth. He must have mentioned this scrub Carimi more than he did Watt, and apparently Henry Melton is the next Warren Sapp.
