Texans beat a 1-4 team without their starting running back. Let's all rejoice. You fan boys need to come back to reality. Teaching the playoffs at 8-8 or 9-7 is nothing to be proud of. First round fodder.
Hiatus is over. Good to get the win. This place was horrible the last two weeks lol. The jags are pretty bad. The Texans pass rush was non-existent till the fourth quarter. Gotta fix that. The Texans playcalling is so vanilla, especially compared to last year. Who didn't know they were going to run the ball on 4th down? The jags are pretty bad. I've been crying to get the backup CBs in the game. They play with more fire and attack the ball more when they are not in 1 on 1 coverage. Stop with the Hopkins and Johnson comparisons. Arian is Arian. They still need a power running back.
**** that, when my NFL teams win on a Sunday I'm going to celebrate. When the Colts lose tonight we will be 1 game behind the division lead... watching sports is supposed to be fun, idk why so many in here insist on being miserable. It blows my mind that people would rather watch a meaningless tanking season when there's not even a clear cut QB to take first then be competing to win the division down the stretch.
If the team improves and plays better...progress. You can't fix every need in one draft. The less needs they have to fix, the better a draft they can have.
They don't have to tank to have a meaningless season. If they miss the playoffs, then it will be a worse year than last year or a marginal year. They may be one game behind, but since they will never beat the Colts, then they will never have the tie breaker.
I'm fine with it if the team is improving. If the defense starts playing like it should then you can work on improving the offense by getting new players. Remember the seahawks were 7-9 back to back years before going 11-5 in 2012
Much needed win for sure. Hopkins is a beast and is looking like he will surpass AJ pretty darn quick. Hoyer had a darn good game as well.
It's not as bad. You can get better talent comparatively at the bottom of the first round in an NFL draft more often than you can with the 14th pick in an NBA draft.
This is true, hell you can get better talent in the 2nd or 3rd round (if you aren't the Texans for whatever reason) than you can outside of the top 10 picks in the NBA draft most of the time.
