I’m beginning to think Willis won’t make it past pick #3. Either the Lions take a go at him or someone trades up to #3 to get him. It just takes one team to fall in love and there’s a ton to like about him.

Would obviously be a great outcome for us either way.

I don’t think Willis will be first QB taken.
    Pickett performed outstanding.
Willis has a chance to be the second guy, depending on how Corral does at proday.

There isn’t QB that should go top 3

I don't disagree with you on not wanting to draft a QB. I just think you're not giving Willis enough credit. I have a feeling he will have much better athleticism numbers than Corral or just about any other QB in the class.

I honestly haven't been paying enough attention though. Life gets in the way. It does seem like if we can get a second second round pick from a trade back, Christian Watson should be a target. Lots of fast WRs, which we could use.

He’s a Jalen Hurts type QB, short, power runner, great arm strength with inconsistent accuracy. He’s not a Lamar type runner.
Corral and him will probably test very similarly. Good 10 yd split, vertical, broad jump (all explosive events) and have mid 4.6 40s.
    Actually very similar to Pickett.

I don’t want another Jalen Hurts.
Corral has much better arm talent and equally as good athletically it’s not better wiggle. Pickett is better than both of them as the total package.

And it’s not just me. Willis is still the 4th ranked QB on NFL.com.
People fall in love with big arm. He’s not the only one with a huge arm. Pickett did well throwing yesterday and Corral if healthy would have put up huge numbers and wowed with arm too.

Willis moved to -115 as the odds favorites to be the 1st QB taken after yesterday’s pro day FWIW. Picketts age & small hands will turn some teams off

I’d take that bet. I don’t think there’s many scouting sites that have him as number 1 QB.
Willis is short, inaccurate and not elite speed. He’s Jalen Hurts. He also turns 23 in May. So the age thing isn’t as big a deal. Pickett is only a year older.
Pickett is the closest to a day one starter. Corral and Willis are similar type athletes while Malik is more sturdy but Corral is taller.

I would be so happy with Neal at 1-3 and Watson at 2-37. Weapons

Tell me how good is Willis at reading defenses?

I’d imagine if he has hands, he just vaulted himself into low first round/second round territory. Elite size and athleticism.

I will agree to disagree. I think Willis is far closer to Lamar than to Hurts. I also think he'll test a decent bit better athletically than Corral. I think his 40 time will be pretty close to Ridder's.

Same conversation we had before. Nothing wrong with it. Hard to speculate without numbers.

These QBs are interesting. I love Pickett. Think he can be a good QB. Not great, but good. I think Willis has a ton of potential, but is a book or bust type pick. Ridder is intriguing. Is he Teddy Bridgewater, or is he what people thought Teddy could be, or something better? What is Corral? Baker Mayfield?

I have had far too little time to read about this year's draft hopefuls, so my assessments are probably way off. They're just based off of watching last year's games, mostly.

Yes, I'm 100% sure he has the appendages known as "hands", you know what I was asking. :)

Willis isn’t the athlete Lamar is.
Hurts is a far better comp.
Corral will test similarly, I’m willing to bet it. Both high 4.5/4.6 guys.

None of that even matters. There’s been tons of guys with speed and big arms that are terrible QBs.
Pickett and Corral are as athletic as Willis and have shown much better accuracy and consistency.

Lol, I was saying if he has hands (as in good catching) he would go higher than projected. I think he was a 3rd round grade.

I agree with you, other than I thought Willis played pretty well and consistently when I watched him. I thought his deep ball was much improved this year.

As I said, this is based off of a few games I watched (and videos of last year) and not a ton else.

If Willis was accurate consistently, he would be a top 5 pick.
Arm strength is legit. Him and Corral have cannons and mobility in spades.
    Neither are sure fire prospects.
I could see Willis being somewhere between McNair and Hurts as a high side.
Corral being somewhere between Heinicke and Murray.
Pickett could be anywhere from Alex Smith to Burrow/Watson hybrid.

And the deep ball I don’t think is the issue. It’s the short to intermediate throws with anticipation and touch.
