I’ll be pretty pissed if Hutch is there and we don’t take him.

If it plays out with Hutch still there at three, maybe we can trade back?

That would be acceptable, to take any other player over him would be stupid

I might be alone on this, but I don't see the power, speed, and explosion from Hutchinson that you want at the top of the draft. I see him as more Ryan Kerrigan than JJ Watt. Not bad, but not super elite.

Just don't F it up, Texans! Take the monster Ekwonu and lock down the O-line for 10+ years.

I’m probably in the minority, like the poster above, but I just don’t see it with Hutch. Not super athletic, no freak traits, surprisingly short arms for a DE. I see him much more as a Kerrigan type as his ceiling. At 3 I’d much rather have someone that can turn into a top 5 CB or OL rather than someone who’s ceiling is probably a top 15 DE.

He tested as one of the most athletic guys in the last 10 years. The burst, quickness, explosiveness and agility is elite. Dominated some really good teams. The only thing he doesn’t have is super long arms. But neither does KT.

Like I said above. He’s more explosive than KT, stronger as well.

I mean it’s not even debatable that he’s an athletic freak.
4.74 40 is good. Not elite
But 1.60 10 yd split is ridiculous
    36” vert is elite
6.73 3 cone is unheard of
4.15 shuttle is better than most receivers and backs
28 reps on bench is really good

Also, Hutch has 32 1/8 arms
    KT has 33

    Not much difference

Agree. If One of the cb’s is your guy it make sense to trade back.

Right, I’m not against taking a corner or oline. But if Hutch falls to you, you either trade down or you take Hutch.
Would feel the same way about Walker too

Good points -- can't argue with that. I was relying more on just watching him play, but I do recognize the limitation with that approach. Hutchinson is a high character guy with a nonstop motor.

Coming from a situation where we had to trade our QB because he was getting lubed up and coercing Instagram masseuses to massage the inside of his butthole, I can DEFINITELY APPRECIATE this player's mindset of not doing all that "extra stuff".
