No sense helping KC extend their window by giving them the 3rd pick. At some point, the Texans need that high end talent to accelerate the rebuild. Losing the 4th (2018) and 5th (2020) overall picks in the Watson and Tunsil trades definitely proved to be punitive.
NONE! We took David Johnson and now teams (or the media) think they can dump their oft-injured or washed RB on us. No, I’m not trading Deshaun for Christian McCaffrey. No, I’m not trading the 3rd pick for Saquon. Dropping from 3 to 30…nah. (Although hypothetically it would give them 13–29–30–37–50…quantity or quality?) And the Eagles, hypothetically would give them 13-15-18-37.
Dane Brugler's "The Beast is out(it has been for a while, oops) Here's the link for it: almost 300 pages of scouting for the draft: https://cdn.theathletic.com/app/uploads/2022/04/07212839/2022_TheBeast_NFL_Draft_Guide-3.pdf PW: Bea$t2022!
This is what I see, Jets trade up to take Sauce at #3. Texans get an extra 3rd. Texans take - Thibodeau at #4 Booth or Davis at #13. Watson WR #37 3rd Rnd Walker RB #67 Best OG Available Best S Available
I also can see this kind of move with either Jets or Giants. I could also see ATL or SEA want to move up for a QB.
