Former Pittsburgh QB Kenny Pickett has drawn comparisons to Bengals no. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow. Pickett (6'3/220) and his hand size will be a hot topic at the Senior Bowl, and perhaps throughout the whole draft process, as he opted to forego his hand measurement due to what the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero said is a double-jointed hand. Pickett's hands are reportedly around eight inches, which drew comparisons's to the Bengals Joe Burrow, whose hands measures at about nine inches. While neither have ideal hand sizes, Pickett's play from the 2021 season also drew comparisons to Burrow, along with the fact that they both saw meteoric rises in their draft capital during their final year of school.
I doubt Strong gets into first round there are stories out there that he has the knees of a 50 yr old.
With Lovie in the fold, I think we can kick the trade down options to the curb. The defense will for the most part stay the same. The team needs that elite pass rusher like what Urlacher, Briggs, Brooks, etc. brought. Hutchinson or Thib are the dudes prolly.
Were those guys pass rushers? They were coverage/run stopping guys. Brooks had 13 sacks in his career TOTAL.
It has to be a DB or a holy phenom at LB minus the overtraining. 3 is too high for those trading back makes sense but who are players that someone with a 13th pick would want to trade up to. Usually it's Qbs and OTs that gms trade up for. 13th to 3 should cost a 2nd and a 3rd now and a 2nd next season. And why hasn't Danieal Manning been called up. Defensive quality control dude!
Yeah, Brooks wasn’t a huge sack guy but Lovie wants someone who’s elite at the linebacker or DE position. His style prefers it at least from what I’ve read and seen.
I imagine going from 13 to 3 would require a team to give up a 1st. 2nd and 3rd this year with a 2nd next year seems like too little to move up 10 spots into the top3.
I think the Bengals would give up their first for Tunsil, and that would be fair value for the Texans
