The 2023 draft is the one to draft Bijan or Charbonnet. There are good backs this year and I hope Caserio drafts one in the 4th rd or so. The 2023 draft is where the special RB's are coming from.
I’d like to see an explosive pass rusher at 1.03 and a dynamic playmaker (WR, CB) at 1.13. This approach seems to fit the available talent this year as well. Hutchinson + Gardner or Stingley would be a dream come true.
I don't love that comparison. He's so, so, so much bigger. Not as quick. He's a complete load. More like Haloti Ngata but bigger and faster. We'll see about the production, but I can see him being a 6-10 sack guy and impossible to run against. He's the type of interior lineman that can single-handedly make your run defense and pass rush good. He will make edge rushers that play with him millions and millions of dollars, and he'll get the interior pass rush that completely ruins gameplans.
Dontari Poe was an all pro early in his career, but his career sort of declined and fell apart. I don't get those vibes though.
Thats kinda my point. Guys that big tend to not have long, illustrious careers - as defenders at least. I'd prefer a DT like Devonte Wyatt over Jordan Davis personally if I were going to entertain the idea of IDL at 13, but DL is way down my list of needs at13 in terms of value and BPA.
Trey Lance didn’t have the “no trade clause”. If not the Texans would have thrived in a bidding war of teams vying for him.
I know trading down , accumulating picks, and drafting the best available player is the Caserio way.... But they need to create some buzz with this pick... Thibodaux, Hutchinson, Hamilton, or even Stingley as your 1st pick with get the fan base blood pumping IMO... but again I'll be watching from afar... lol
