He probably has his 2023 mock draft out now. I agree mocks are a waste of time. Espn uses it to get the casual fans into it.
Here is this fools logic "The Texans used a top-three pick on a corner who hasn’t played well since 2019 and is coming off a Lisfranc injury, a top-15 pick on a guard with below-average NFL athleticism, and the No. 44 pick on a non-explosive slot receiver coming off an ACL injury. I'm a big fan of Pitre and Pierce. But I can't condone the rest of what Houston was up to this weekend. Sitting on a mountain of equity with a roster badly needing a grand slam draft, this was a missed opportunity."
Right, the best guard in the draft, the best athlete in the draft at corner and an Alabama receiver that would have been a first rounder if healthy. Some people just like to hate
My teachers either loved me or hated me. I always thought of tests as my way of testing THEM. If there was a discrepancy, THEY were probably wrong. I feel the same way about evaluations of the draft.
I have to disagree there. We spent 2 firsts on Tunsil and a First on Howard just 2 years ago.. let Howard actually play the position rather than covering for someone and playing guard. Meanwhile we have been Swiss cheese against the pass both WITH and WITHOUT a decent pass rush.
Let’s talk about how last couple years we are always bottom of that list… take one guy who the Patriots didn’t want to accept as a GM role and LOOK HOW THE TURNTABLES haha
Where was this? I checked this ****ing moron's "analysis" out and didn't even see the Texans listed - https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/article/nfl-draft-analysis/nfl-draft-quick-snap-grades
Nevermind, found another link this idiot on his decision to give us an F. Well, he can go F himself. https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/article/nfl-draft-analysis/nfl-draft-quick-snap-grades?page=1
I won't watch a down of the NFL, but I like to play the draft game. But I am not delusional enough to think I know what I'm talking about like the grader's do. But I do wonder if there is a strategy to slow play this year to maximize value in two years. Collect players who can recover fully in two years, maximize next years draft, and then begin the on field rebuild. For historians, it's like the 1943 holding period while we ramped up production of war materials before the invasion of Europe in 44. We stopped the bleeding in the Pacific in 42 by destroying the Japanese fleet, but recognized our need to re-equip before a scaled up ground offensive. 23-1 HOU 3000-590 23-1 CLV 3000-590 23-2 HOU 580-270 23-3 HOU 265-84 23-3 CLE 265-84 23-4 HOU 82-34.5 23-5 HOU 34-18.2 Both Cleveland and Houston look like good shots to improve after next season's draft leaving them with higher draft values.

Cleveland may actually slide back if Watson gets a significant suspension. So perhaps this is a Strategic draft rather than a Tactical one. Anyway, My interest is ONLY in playing draft games, not the actual product.
What I'd like to see is someone that goes back and grades these mock draft graders. Someone spend some time to look back at the grades they gave teams in drafts 3-4 years ago and let's give them grades on how well their scouting is. They certainly won't do it of themselves.
I was listening to Caserio on the radio one morning last week, and he said his team and others actually do this. They use mock drafts to gauge value, after the draft they go back and see who did the best to use them as a tool next year.
