I don't want to start a thread just yet, but can someone post some thoughts of Mavs and Spurs fans after our pick up. I'm curious to know their reaction.

Francis will very easily beat out any other point guard for the starting spot the only way he wont start is if adelman wants him to come off the bench which i doubt.

And all this stuff about steve cant run the break is just stupid. Honestly what are you talking about you people must only remember francis his rookie year or something. What player cant run the break? just ridiculous.

And the stuff about steve dribbling, whatever once again that was very early in his career and in addition that was part of Rudy offense at the time he wasnt used to all the young players so he ran alot of iso. Even under gundy he got into the offense alot quicker. In addition to that if he walked the ball up court it was because al gundy told him to. One thing I noticed about steve is that he always did what the coaches told him.

With that said even though i dont hate rafer I think he will soon be gone along with lucas and possibly synder and I see wayne simien from miami or foster from the pacers(i think) in a rockets jersey soon

Posey and battier are pretty much the same players?.if were persuing posey, does it mean shane is being traded?.i dont see how cat fits into our system>?. maybe were trading shane and rafer in a blockbuster deal to land us a bigtime PF?maybe a battier, Rafer sign & trade for haselem and Posey? Then trade head and hayes for foster
    Francis/James
    Tracy/Wells
    Posey/Snyder
    Haselem/Scola
    Yao/Foster/Deke

S&T players can't be packaged in a trade.

Well supposedly from what my friend heard that's why Head and Hayes are being offered for Foster, that's what Indy wants, this then has opened up Morey talking to Miami now about Alston for Posey, according to what my friend said these talks all hang on the Mobley situation because the Clippers want Head or Alston along with Sura and cash for Mobley.

Hayes for Boki is apparently also a possibility if the Rockets can trade Head and Justin Reed for Ike Diogu.

I don't know if my friend is full of it but he just said the Dallas radio is ticked off because the Rockets are grabbing every potential out there right now.

Well if that is true then I guess Dallas radio doesn't even check basic facts.

Exactly. also the rummored deal didnt involve hayes. it was rafer and head for foster. the Pacers were trying to unload us Murphy.

Some Dallas fans feel it's better the Rockets than them with the Francis signing.

Some Sprus fans feel the Francis signing kind of cancels out them giving us our PF.

On the other hand some (majority I think) feel this makes the Rockets better.

Here's a link to some boards for every team.

This is mind boggoling stuff.Mobley's contract is horrendus. he's making like 9 mill a year. Alston(5 mill) and Sura( 4 mill) is enough to make it work money wise.

Hilton Armstrong is the only that works for those two. That's doubtful, he's a lottery pick from last year.

Rockets need to cut Sura's salary if they intend on getting back under LT. Cat would be like adding a third max contract player.

Sour grapes from all of them, especially the Dallas fans. If Francis is so bad for Dallas, why would Avery be trying to get him?

Truth is, Morey probably doesn't know if SF will be 100% health and if he'll fit or not... but at $2.4 million, he'd take that gamble. If SF is washed up, trade him. (of course, that's not gonna be what he says during the press conference).

I think it's interesting how active Morey has been, the other GMs that have been the most active are Kevin Pritchard at Portland and Sam Presti in Seattle-- and these two have rebuilding projects rather than 52 win teams and rebulding demands more aggressiveness.

Bill Simmons is right, a lot of NBA types have no guts nowadays, thus the relatively inactive trade deadline. Seems that it takes some newblood in front offices-- Presti, Morey, Pritchard-- to have the guts to take chances.

I dont understand why haslem is so favored, he isnt that good and he isnt that big either, the only thing i noticed him doing was knocking dont short jumpers when shaq was double teamed.

Also the cat acquistion does nothing for the gay jokes lol

To me cat and luther head are pretty interchangable but luther is younger and cats contract is much bigger so i wouldnt neccesarily make that move, but morey is obviously greater than me so whatever.

James Posey is a free agent i believe and the warriors are very heavily wooing him and i think he might command too much money. I think the warriors need him more anyway to at least try to replace jason richardson.
