I still can't believe this especially from a financial point of view: the Rockets have three Max Players, but are only paying Two!

Who would've thunk we would have more explosive threads in the off season than on... Anyway welcome back Stevie! Now let the Francis bashing commence.... oh wait it never stopped.
Its sort of what the Spurs managed to do with Finley who was waived by Dallas. He was making max salary paid by cuban but won it all with the Spurs. hopefully that formula works for us.
Hmm. I'm okay with Francis here again, provided we aren't trying to make him (and he isn't trying to be) the 'Franchise' anymore and he comes cheap. I think he can be a good added piece to the team, but I still remember all his downsides as well. I don't think those just 'get better' as you get older. Hopefully everything fits well. We'll have to wait and see.
i can just imagine steve with his crazy ass ally oops passes to mcgrady and yao i cant wait for this season to start!
I KNOW...damn i cant wait for opening night...we need to tear the roof off of the toyota center...our fans need to step it up big time this year...we need to have an atmosphere like the old arco arena did back in the cowbell days
I think this is a very important point. A Francis who is more mature, willing to play in the team (defer to Yao and T-Mac) will do very well here. One thing though I look forward to him doing is taking the tough shot to get the team fired up. Too often T-Mac would look tentative and for all of Francis's faults tentative isn't one of them.
How does this sound? Yao (35min) / Butler (13min) Scola (30min) / Hayes or a decent PF (18min) Battier (30min) / T-Mac (18min) T-Mac (12min) / Bonzi (20min) / James (16min) Francis (25min) / Alston (18min) / James (10min) Who is this #3? http://ezchef.net/alacarte/pics/0FRANCI-R1-E002.JPG
I'm with you though the one bright side is that if Steve shows too many of his bad traits, we don't have to bring Moochie in. I'm getting on board and hope for the best.
I love FRANCHISE. Rockets lacked a guy who can score in the clutch, now the options are McGrady, Yao, Francis, Bonzi..... Francis is a lot better than Alston who can't shoot and rely McGrady to pass the rock. Yao will get along with anybody and McGrady just want to win a Championship as well as Francis and Bonzi. The latter two should be ready to revive their careers. Rockets will be versatile, they can play with Phoenix and San Antonio. Thank You for coming home.
Great. Now we are loaded with talent. I just hope the chemistry and "team-ball" works out well next season. This was a huge surprise even though our chances of landing Francis was 25% (1/4 - Clips, Mavs, Heat, & Rockets). I guess the surprise is that SF3 is coming back. He's an energy bunny, but I really hope that our big 3 (Mac, Yao, & Steve) can mesh. What a summer for the Rockets! GO ROX!
Thumbs up on a great offseason so far, we are stacked with a deep squad. Should be some great stuff and smiles all around at the press conference tomorrow
