haha it takes a trade like this to get someone to post for the first time ever being on this site for 4 years.
Dude. I feel the same. I had a really, really crappy day today and then when I heard the Francis news it all went away. Literally.
Now, our entire team is so solid and our bench is so deep. We now have the sufficient amount of the right people to fill in when our starters get injury. I expect Rockets will have a great and exciting year by our new coach and new additions. For our player, Other teams can't double-team Yao and Tmac without concerning SF, MJ, Bonzi, Battier, and Scola. It will also release a tremendous amount of pressure from Yao and Tmac under the roster we have now. With quick ball movement to find the best chance to attack the basket. Gosh, our team will be so strong!
I keep having the mental picture of adelman sitting in his office at 4:30 am with his hair sticking straight up in the air like a mad scientist, with his playbook drawing up new and endless plays for the ridiculous amount of depth the rockets now have.
I am speechless. After years of bad contracts after bad contracts, all of a sudden, Rockets can sign quality players with 2-3 millions? That Morey guy is unreal. We better go to WCF this year, I can't wait any longer! Let the season start. Oh wait, there is still time, and I know Morey is going to get more quality back with our abundant guards. Take your time, Morey, and surprise us again! Welcome back, Steve!
Too much to read through dont know if its been brought up. Now that SF is here we have serious trade bait to package for depth at the 4 and 5. JR, Suras contract, Head and Snyder to start with should be able to get us a pretty good player too make this team one of if not the deepest in the league.
It's 5:30 a.m. here in China. I haven't sleep for a whole night for work. The day is breaking. I just randomly checked the NBA News before sleep for a few hours but cannot sleep anymore... Huge welcome back SF3! Come and be my boss Morey! The most valuable virgin post i have ever made!
"Francis played just 44 games for the Knicks last season while dealing with injuries" So, how many games is going to play for us? If he plays >70 games I will be surprised. As long as he doesn't hold the ball more than 2 seconds at a time without taking the open shot or (if it's not there) passing, I hope he plays 82 games.
Dallas has nothing on us right now, their dominance over us came from their ability to burn us in the backcourt with Harris, Terry, and Stack (Dirk rarely got over on us). Now we have James, Brooks and Francis with the foot speed and the offensive prowess to keep them on their heels. Pheonix can still run us off the floor but Brooks and James may help contain Barbosa, who just killed us last season. The addition of Francis also gives us another body to guard Nash. Utah, loses out on Mo Pete and Fisher and I'm hoping for another injury plagued season for Boozer and AK47. Either way, right now, we are way more prepared to make a short series out of them. Spurs, well the can always try to size up the Spurs, but until you can gut it out against them all the talent in the world won't mean squat.
