This should be a lesson to all of you who ridiculed and talked down to the person who broke this yesterday morning

Man the Rockets are so damn deep this year, I cant believe the talent on this team, and with Coach A guiding this team its really going to be scary what we will be capable of doing this coming season. Im more stoked than when we got T-Mac. I havent been this excited about this team since the championship years.

I really can't believe this. This off-season is completely unreal. I also strongly disagree with all of you who thinks this signals the end of Alston. I don't think it does. My guess is that either they plan to play Francis as a back up shooting guard OR they'll try to move Mike James. Mike James and Steve Francis are pretty similar players and Francis is now here for cheaper than James. But we'll see. It's going to be very interesting to see how Morey trims down the roster. Somehow I get the feeling he's not done pulling rabbits out of his hat. Amazing.

I don't think Morey will ever top this year. How crazy has this been, and it is still not over with yet. Hard to not think about how all this will play out, but I need to start searching for someone to share some s bowl seats season tickets with real soon!!!

Man this just seems too good to be true. i'm estatic!!!

I have a j*zz fan I work with and just told him "We got stevie franchise back look out this season!" he tried to say that was good news for j*zz fans but he was obviously just trying to cope with the fact that his little j*zz team is in big trouble!!!

so we now have 21 players on the roster. i wonder how this is going to resolve itself. personally, i dont think steve is a great fit anymore but i cant help but smile now that he's back.

Man, if we could somehow still get artest this would be fantastic. give up, say, head, synder, sura and next year's first round pick for artest. that would leave:

    1: Alston/James/Brooks/JLIII
    2: T-Mac/Francis/Bonzi
    3: Artest/Battier/Novak
    4: Scola/Hayes/Reed/Landry
    5: Yao/Deke/Jake/Butler

not even sure was postion mike harris plays.

Still 10-man rotation of yao, scola, artest, t-mac, alston, james, francis, bonzi, battier, hayes/Deke. how did we go from no depth to ridiculous depth so quickly?

i like brooks as much as the next guy, but unless alston goes, i dont see how he is going to see the floor next year

That quote just has me shaking my head. We have a large abundance of people that can post up, run and shoot.

Bonzi - Post up, score in the paint
Yao - Post up, Shoot, score in the paint
TMac - Post up, shoot, run, score in the paint
Scola - Post up, shoot, run, score in the paint
James - Shoot, run, score in the paint
Steve - Run, score in the paint
    Head - Shoot
Shane - Shoot, run, score in the paint
    Brooks - Shoot, run

Almost all of those guys can creat their own shots if need be and almost all of them have high BB IQ's and good passing skills.

I keep hearing certain posters saying that Morey is not to be given credit...I say BS. If we make the wrong moves or if any of these moves does not work I am certain that you and all of those others wanting to deny the man credit will be the first in line to issue blame.

The moves happened on his watch. He is the GM and if he did not approve or did not want them to happen then they very likely would not have happened.

I am quite sure that if anyone would have said at the season's end that we would aquire James, Francis, Butler, Scola and resigned Bonzi...all for the MLE, JHo and a second round pick you would have rolled your eyes and said we knew nothing.

    Give the man his credit!

I hope this works, but I am feeling fear that this move just doesn't pan out well for the rox. The last thing we need is to try and get Cat back.

Check this from Hollinger at ESPN.com. Too true.

Rafer is the only PG we have.

Everyone should try to remember that francis's knees are shot (which frankly I take as a good thing because he won't get as many minutes and maybe his ego will be kept in check). This is NOT the francis who played with us back in the day! His body is breaking down, it's a fact.

I do hold SOME hope the process has humbled him some, though. It's the chemistry / ball movement I worry about most.

Neither can Rafer. Francis will be great because he can penetrate and finish around the basket. Getting fouled? No problem. I don't worry as much when Francis shoots FTs as I do with Rafer (need a reference? See that Lakers game last yera)

So happy!!!!!! We are stacked everywhere. Clearly now we are one of the top 5 teams in the NBA.

We have a real shot at a championship!
