Wow, I honestly didn't think he'd end up here. I'm glad to have his talent on board, and I hope that during these last few years he's matured a bit. Way to go Rox! Now let's do a deal with Indiana for Ike Diogu or Foster to give us one more body at the 4 spot.
OK, Morey, now I'm impressed ... lol I think this is great. I know we are dealing with challenges of how to make the pieces fit, but that is what Adelman excels at. So, maybe Artest is next ... ... if Bibby goes to CLE, maybe they'll be enticed by a package of Alston, Sura, Snyder and maybe a rookie. I do look forward to seeing who we trade for next. This adds to our talent level at minimal cost. I know we are collecting some egos, but our talent level has significantly increased, and this only increases our options. Yao has got to be smiling ... I had a feeling, when Morey referred to Francis being a major talent, those words were meant for him, and this just might happen, and I think he'll actually have more probability of winning a championship here than in Miami. CONGRATS to all.
HAHA ...now i know someone with a P starting they name is going to RED TEXT and me to death for beating him .... J/P Can someone get Calvin on the Phone ........
Wow. This team is loaded like The Kings of yore. Yao McGrady Battier Scola James Bonzi Francis Who else has a seven man rotation to compare with that? And that's before we see what Brooks or the other new role players might have to offer. Even better, that's before we see what comes back in the trade we all know is coming. Some combo of Alston, Head, Snyder and Sura's contract have to move to clear roster spots. The most unbelievable thing about all this is they're not even done yet.
Yeah, this makes me a bit nervous (him fitting in), but it's like Bonzi last year...cheap enough to gamble and a huge upside if it works Now we can trade some players for some extra front court help. However, we really don't have anyone that can dish the rock other than TMAC
WOW! WELCOME BACK STEVE! This is incredible. I was honestly against the signing a couple weeks ago, but my god does it feel good to have Stevie back. I hope all of the questioning of Steve stops -- you've got to realize, Houston offered Steve the least in terms of PT and money and he still chose us. If that's not a changed NBA player, I've never seen one. Now we just have to wait out this intermission (regular season/playoffs) and get ready for the finals
deez are my b****as I didn't think it was possible, but it happend. what a wonky offseason. my balls are still tingling. I really hope steve still has enough to bring it because he was MIA in NY. With James, Alston, and Francis, who's gonna start? and if alston gets traded, will james or francis be happy playing backup? then again, I see a second team backcourt with: francis james tmac being pretty deadly.
Head can be traded for a big now. Jeff Foster, Reggie Evans, Chris Mihm, Tony Battie, Brian Skinner, Nick Collison... Bigs like them.
Attention Sports Apparel Merchants: Time to go get those dusty old Steve Francis Rockets jerseys from the storeroom or the discount rack and mark them back up to full price. We're back in business baby!
If he plays PG and IF he does whatever RA tells him too then it should be good. They just need to let him know that he is to under no circumstances play 1 on 5 dribble out the clock ball with the other team. If he's coached right(as I'm sure he will) it shouldn't be a problem. On another note, our rebounding just got a lot better.
WOW! welcome back SF3! Finally some players with HEART that will leave everything on the floor!!! time to dust off that jersey!
But Francis is coming with I assume nothing guaranteed but a chance to earn his way. He is no longer "Franchise" Everyone deserves a second chance, this is his here in Houston. If he isn't injured and he cares enough to work, win and let TMac and Yao be the studs, then he has a chance to come off the bench and add some scoring (he was a streaky shooter, but if he gets his shot back he can score) He may not earn minutes and this could be the end, but I think it is worth the gamble. He may redeem himself and we could all be dancing in downtown Houston next June-
