Lost in all this is the blocked field goal. Sure a TD would be nice, but the block itself was huge.

10-0 at the half I'll take it.

I didn't mean the block of the field goal... I meant the block of the Steelers player. There was no need to block a guy 20 yards behind Joseph, who was in the clear for a touchdown.

Bingo. After a while, bad luck can only explain so much.

That was one of the knocks on Wade Phillips last year in Dallas. He couldnt control his players. They walked all over him, then quit. Right now some of the Texans defense players arent scared of Wade. I would sit Manning for a drive as punishment and put in Nolan.

I like Kubiak a little better now. I like how he chewed out the refs at the end of half. I figured gary would just run off but instead he showed me some toughness.

Squid impressed me also. I like his qb sneek for the 1st down.

Now lets see how good squid is without Andre.

Sure... blame Kubiak for that.

You realize that penalty was made by a guy Kubiak has known all of two months.

8 penalties in the 1st half. 1 cost them a TD. Incredifail.

    from cbs sportsline :
Texans WR Andre Johnson left Week 4 against Pittsburgh with an apparent hamstring injury. His return is questionable. Johnson had four catches for 36 yards before leaving. He went down on his own on a 13-yard reception and immediately grabbed his right hamstring.

We hope Johnson is OK, but this injury did not look good. He was able to walk off on his own back to the locker room, but the Texans might be cautious with the injury given how they handled Arian Foster's hamstring problem. Stay tuned, but this does not look good for Johnson.

Hes on my fantasy football league team

Absolute joke of a call. If you apply the letter of the law, you could call an illegal block in the back on 90% of plays and 99% of special teams plays. Good officials have some understanding of context and relevance, and don't need the ego boost of "taking charge".

This group today has been awful against both teams. Simply inexcusable at this level.

Looks like Andre Johnson has a strained hamstring and not a knee injury. Hamstrings have hamstrung Texans since start of preseason.

Sure, but a 17-0 lead would be more reflective of the domination that the Texans have shown this half. As it was, 10-0 or 10-3 is a sign that the Steelers are still very much in a game that they shouldn't be in.

I really think the refs have an eye to throw a flag regardless today... I hate ref crews like this.

Hey, guys, Manning a mistake yes, but isn't the Steelers not scoring the most important thing? He blocked a field goal for crying out loud.

Good news... but the bad news is that its McClain reporting it.

But, it goes back to what I said was the most likely diagnosis... hamstring strains are more common than torn ACL's.

If it's a hamstring then hopefully it's just a few weeks. That's a relief, wow.

    That's exactly how I feel.

It was almost freaking incidental contact. It had no affect on the play.

You *can* call it, but it's ticky tack bulls**t lawyer ball at that point.
