Calling some typos misspellings is not being too liberal. If you intended to spell one word and failed, the typo was a misspelling, right? How can you call it anything else? Just use the honor system to admit it or not. It's the call of the accused. What's too liberal about that?? It is very simple, actually. If I meant to write "pennies" and I wrote "penis," I misspelled "pennies," right? If someone catches it, admit your spelling mistake and don't try to claim that you really meant to use the word "penis" in the sentence. for the record: I agree that your and GB's typos are deletion problems, and would not claim a kill on those...my kill of GB was intended to be a joke. But you must admit vj23k, your intention in that sentence was not to place a left parenthesis before "I." That sentence is not fixable with punctuation alone. You are a careless proofreader and will not survive very long.
Right. You can't. That isn't liberal. But including Punctuation/Grammatical Structure in the game is. I don't want to make it sound like I am taking this too seriously, but I think that I am in the right despite the omission of the bracket. It is very simple, actually. You are a careless proofreader and will not survive very long. But it wasn't a deletion problem. I did indeed intend to put a bracket before the I. If you read the sentence, you will see what I am trying to say... I guess it would have been more clear if I had typed: There is also the hope that one day all(Though I will settle for most) of this construction will finish, and Houston will have the greatest system of highways in the world.
I've *never* seen Batman spell a word wrongly... have I missed all the drunken posts? I thought he would be my ultimate rival in this thing, frankly. But perhaps heyp is right: we both talk too much to win. I post while stoned quite a lot. Maybe that will be my downfall.
My downfall is lesdyxia combined with drunken posts. Actually, I didn't know Batman Jones was in the game, or I would have included him. btw: Where the hell is htownhero? Is he hiding from his own game, to claim victory at the very end. We need someone to post all the remaining survivors.
HP's right. I've been known to post drunk and angry, typing 300 wpm and hitting submit without reading over the post. It's rare I misspell a word, but I am guilty of the occasional typo (for some reason, more than once, I've added an 'e' to the end of 'victim'). But I've caught my own legit spelling errors, too. Frankly, I figured half the entrants would lose out on "definately" or "alot." Careful on the stoned jazz, dims. I still don't really know why, but that's how dtown33 turned into DallasThomas.

There's a bumper sticker which reads "Houston deserves to be a better place to live." I don't know if it deserves it. I'd like it if it was, though. As it stands, I like it fine the way it is.

So, who can spot this verb tense mistake, and name the writer? This is not a kill, as grammar mistakes don't count. This is just to warn the big four (fadeaway, dimsie, BJ and SJC) that you better stay sharp and use www.dictionary.com. There's a good chance that I'll take your cocky selves out with a wrongly hyphenated word. It is scrabble rules. dictionary.com is the chosen dictionary that presides over this game. Remember that!! game on!
HP, I, for one, thought that was a very well written post. Can't remember who wrote it, but he sounds very smart. Was the issue with "bumper sticker which?" Would you have preferred "bumper sticker that?" Whatever the foible, if you're going to disqualify a post like that for a grammatical error, I'll go back and wipe all of y'all out for more blatant offenses. Just, you know, to preserve the honor of that really, really smart poster whose name I can't remember.
p.s. For the record, I NEVER use dictionary.com or any other spelling steroid. If I win, I'll do so on the strength of my public school education. If I lose, at least I'll lose on account of hubris, that downfall of so many other great tragic heroes.

Damn the no edit, part two. Even a Batman's wrong sometimes. "I'd like it if it WERE..." - Batman What do I win?
BTW, How come heypartner has been eliminated, yet has not added the agreed upon statement to his signature????
I swear I posted that before I read Moniker's post. Too slow to post it first, though. Give him my prize. Even though he misspelled grammar.
Never mind the dodgy tense, that should be a candidate for a kill purely based on the number of times the word "it" is used in one paragraph. It didn't read particularly well to me... No offence to whomever wrote it though. (whomever? whoever? Not sure, but whomever felt right!)
