He's he just signed a 6 year contract extension last year that runs through 2015, so, I kind of doubt that. Trading a team captain, eh..?

Sharpton was getting a lot of PT yesterday, but I think that had more to do with the blowout than with Demeco sucking.

It was interesting commentary. Kalu kept saying, "Demeco is my favorite guy on this team....but it's obvious the coaching staff doesn't think he's a good fit. He's not even in on about 1/2 the plays." (paraphrased, obviously)

    NFL contracts aren't typically guaranteed.

NFL contracts aren't typically guaranteed. And Kalu wasn't just talking about this game..he was talking about the entire season so far.

sorry..i didn't mean to make this 2 separate posts

Lance also suggested it is a phase out of Demeco this AM. Marcus Coleman texted into the show saying it would be something like 18 months before Demeco was back to full ability.

i do think he's had a hard time getting back to 100%. With an achilles injury like that, it's not uncommon for it to take an entire season to get back to speed. Plus he did have that elbow injury on top of that as well and I think that's really limited his ability

Well, Cushing is playing like a madman (LOL at everyone writing him off last year) and going from sideline to sideline when he's not tackling someone for a loss in the backfield, so I would imagine he's stealing a lot of tackles from DeMeco.

Some of those clowns were trying to still knock him early this season, apparently in the internet tradition of "I haven't watched a game at all, but I'll feel free to continue posting an old favorite from last year"

CJ's longest carry was 3 yards.

Per usual, Cushing's assignment was the RB. The RB was the primary focus of the plays Tennessee ran yesterday 22 times, compared to 8 for receivers, and 3 for tight ends. So, it's not really shocking that Demeco got a goosegg. His assignment was very limited in this game, although he did grab a TD.

Asper Kubiak via the press conference, they played dime most of the game and Cush was in instead of DeMeco in those dime packages.

There dime would be a 4-1-6 then right? You'd think with secondary being their weakest group in the D, that they wouldn't want to put 6 of them out on the field at once.

Texans #6 in pass defense/#7 in receiving defense this year thus far. What a difference a year and a qualified D-coordinator makes.

Although the Packers and Patriots are at the bottom of those stats, so take it for what it's worth.

This sounds like a good idea. Cushing's lateral speed is elite. I've lost count of how many times he's ran across the field to make the tackle on the sideline.
