I have been offered this trade: GIVE UP: Maurice Jones-Drew Terrell Owens RECEIVE Ryan Torain Brandon Marshall Torain is just behind MJD in fantasy points although he was just named the starter 2 weeks ago. Marshall is the same as Owens, just behind in fantasy points after Owens exploded the last two weeks. What do you think?
Not sure why people are dumping Kolb now. He will start Sunday and has a bye next week so you should see a lot of people dumping him then as Vick is supposed to come back and be the starter after that. I'd pick him up and start him since you're allowed to.
I believe MJD only has marginally more value than Torain the rest of the year. Owens is garbage compared to Marshall. Owens is a total sell-high. There is no way he keeps this production up. Hell, you might want to make a counter-offer and pretend like you're in love with T.O. to see if you can squeeze a better RB out of him, or maybe swap defenses with him if he's got an elite unit (Pitt, Tenn, NY)
The only things that worry me about Torain is that apparently he had a knee issue at the end of the game Sunday night and what his role will be once Portis returns in the next several weeks. I've got the Jets defense so I think I am good except they are on a bye this week. I think I am going to pull the trigger on this deal if nothing better comes through. I have had a flux of offers come in over the past day or two.
Do it!!!! MJD knee is also questionable so is a wash with torian and mjd but you will recieve a BEAST in Marshall.
I'm almost positive his injury was to his wrist. Which to MJD would be no big reason to not play, unless it got broken.
Ah, I gottcha. I have Torain and MJD, actually just received MJD thru trade this past week, I would pull the trigger on your trade. Marshall is a monster and should make this trade a slight + on your side and Torain is probably going to remain the starter given the fact that he is just as good of a blocker as Portis and produced a lot more in his absense.
this trade was proposed in my league and i voted against it : torrain and moreno for mcfadden and big ben what do you guys think?
If player A needs a QB badly, and played B needs RBs badly (no guarantee McFadden is gonna get 20+ carries a game again), then I see nothing wrong with it. Player A is getting more value overall with Big Ben, but Player B may value RBs more than QBs at this point. Hard to vote against that trade as "unfair" unless you're just trying to **** block.
That is rather backwards. 1) Bradshaw 1a) Jackson 3) Mathews 4) MJD Lloyd has actually been the #1 receiver in the NFL so far except for last week. Also I see Floyd outperforming Marshall once he returns from his hammy, especially with Gates out.
good, veto was the right choice getting a good QB and a good running back for 2 below average options is ridiculous.
Current wide receivers: B. Edwards, T. Owens, D. Mason, V. Jackson, L. Evans, A. Armstrong Current running backs: M. Jones-Drew, P. Thomas, C. Williams, J. Snelling League configuration is basically standard, no PPR.
I agree that you could probably use an upgrade at WR, but you'd be giving up the only decent RB you have on your roster (as semi-useless as he has been). Not good. At least Edwards and Owens are serviceable WR options even if they're not that dependable. Don't make that trade -- it leaves you with nobody to start at RB. Is there some waiver wire option you can pursue at RB? A Justin Forsett or even Derrick Ward, perhaps?
