Don't invite people into your league who are noobs, we don't babysit people in my leagues. If you get owned, you should've known better. Now, if someone is CLEARLY and deliberately trying to ruin the competitive balance of the league by trading trash for a diamond (i.e. that person has given up on the league, or is trying to help their buddy win), then I will veto.
I think Thomas Jones has more upside than Brandon Jackson. Even though Jones is slowing down, the Packers just flat out don't run the ball. If Jamaal Charles ever gets hurt or sees a dip in his production, TJ becomes a great pickup... whereas Jackson will never be that good. At the end of the day, you are getting the more valuable player, MJD, so you win the trade IMO.
What is your league configuration? It's hard to answer questions like this without knowing. In non PPR leagues I would be more comfortable trading Welker than Fitzgerald here, and regardless I wouldn't worry about Brandon Jackson -- it's a no-brainer to give up a crappy "depth" guy for a no-brainer stud starter that you can plug in every week. I'm more concerned about which WR you're giving up and your options at that position.
Do not do! Mjd and rice are betterfantasy options than Fitz this year. U would be giving up the 2 best players in this trade
Could be public league. U can't control who is in that. And I always veto any unfair trade. My goal is to win. I am not gonna let a competitor get better because someone is a noob or idiot
I'm pretty sure public leagues don't have vetos. Just a majority vote. As commissioner, if you veto a bad trade because *you* don't agree with it, even if the people trading do (provided they're trading in good faith, and not like the scenarios I described in my earlier post), then you're worse than David Stern. I'm guessing that if you were the one pulling that trade off, you wouldn't veto it, eh?
He's talking about Sidney Rice, who is a complete fantasy nonentity this year and I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would actually have him on their bench, let alone trade him. Also he would be getting MJD in the deal. I actually think Fitz is a little underrated now that the Cards have benched the utterly useless Derek Anderson. I watched a good portion of the game on Sunday in which they upset the Saints and I was quite impressed with Max Hall. For an undrafted rookie QB he showed a LOT of moxie, made good decisions and he knew what to do with the ball, he knew where Larry Fitzgerald was and he knew how to get it to him which is what Anderson never could figure out. If I were a Fitzgerald owner I would be quite happy over his prospects going forward. I think Fitz is easily his best WR now so it's something to take into consideration especially if his league starts 2 WRs and a flex.
Romo vs Vikings or Sanchez vs Broncos The Vikings let Sanchez throw on them last week but the Jets have one of, if not the best offensive line in football and the Broncos have let opposing quarterbacks launch it. Romo did pretty bad against that Vikings defense last year. The offensive line doesn't look great and the Cowboys are playing away from home.
Can a defensive player get negative points? Not a defense, but an individual player? I am up by 2 points right now. My opponent has no one playing tomorrow and I have Michael Griffin (Titans) playing. If it is possible to get negative points, I may just bench him for tomorrow and not field anyone at that spot this week.
Don't think so. Check your league settings to be safe, though. If you are really concerned, go ahead an bench him.
I am trying to think of how an individual player could do somethign by himself that would result in negative points and I can't come up with anything. Maybe if he gets an interception and then proceeds to fumble the ball or something, but I'll probably be fine. Just wanted to make sure
I am down .5 pts. I didn't start a defensive end, didn't think I'd need one. I need to pick one up from either the Titans or Jags (obviously). I can start Tyson Alualu, Jacob Ford, Derrick Harvey... what do I do? Go with Alualu right?
why dont you start a linebacker? a tackle should get you .5 points. If you want to start a DE, I would imagine Jason Babin is available as well, I would pick him over the other ones you named.
It's a PPR league, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one. It brought me depth at running back with Torain, AP, and MJD starting this week and I have Welker, Lloyd, Lance Moore ( ) with Hernandez as my semi receiver/tight end. Sidney Rice should be back in a few weeks so that should help me at receiver once he's back at full health. Thanks for the input guys.
Should i trade S.moss and m.crabtree for A.johnson or L.Fits or R.Moss? I really don't know if i should do it since both moss and crabs have been doing well, but i think it would be good since it frees up a space for waiver pick ups. What do you think should I? current Team: QB-E.Manning WR-M.Austin WR-S.Moss RB-F.Gore RB-MJD TE-B.Celek Flex-M.Forte K- M.Prater Def- Philadelphia Bench: M.Crabtree,M.Ryan, E.Manning, V.Shiancothe, Giants,49ers, A.Smith do i make an offer, Im sure he'll accept since his team isn't making the playoffs.
If you feel you absolutely need to trade both guys for a prime time receiver out of the three of those I would make a move for AJ. If you can't pick him up I say keep the depth you have. If anyone gets injured it may come in handy.
I don't see any other way; I'm not willing to trade any of my rbs unless i receive another rb back. His rbs suck.
