Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw. I was the second leading scorer first week and lost, this week I was second lowest and won. Now on to week 4: I think Crabtree has played himself off my roster. I think I finally found a semi consistent 3 WR in Louis Murphy, but still need at least one reserve. Who should I pick up. Percy Harvin Brandon Lloyd Kevin Walter Johnny Knox Lance Moore Santonio Holmes
Gotta go with Knox. He's faced some really good CBs early on this year and has still put up decent numbers. I expect him to have a solid year. Probably not a lot of TDs, but plenty of yards.
Who should I start as my #3 receiver? Jabar Gaffney @ Titans Brandon Lloyd @ Titans Jacoby Jones @ Raiders Mario Manningham vs. Bears Louis Murphy vs. Houston
Knox was impressive again yesterday albeit in the absence of Aromashodu. I'd consider him a good option going forward. That said, I'd still pick up Harvin -- I feel like his headaches are going to be more the exception than the rule from here on out, and when healthy he is clearly better than every one else on that list.
Not easy to call this one, but I'm leaning towards Jacoby or Murphy. And more Jacoby because he should benefit from the attention Andre Johnson gets from Asomugha on one side of the field. Murphy has been consistent through 3 weeks but I suspect Houston will make some key secondary adjustments this week and start shutting offenses down (that's just a hunch, nothing more). I don't like the wildly inconsistent Manningham against a Bears defense that looks really good right now, and I don't like the spread-the-wealth Denver passing game against the tough Titans secondary.
Besides having my workhorse AP on a bye and only Portis, B. Jackson, and Tolbert to rely on I have a dilemma at TE. Would you guys start? Aaron Hernandez vs Dolphins John Carlson vs Rams Carlson murdered it for me last week with 17 points but Hernandez did pretty well himself with 13. I'm leaning towards John.
Manningham has been very consistent this year...75 yards each game. But you're right about the Bears defense. I think I'd go with Murphy. Walter has really stepped back into the #2 WR role, and I expect the Texans to use a heavy dose of Arian Foster to win this one.
Trade help what would you do I have 4 Rb's (we play 2) that have performed fairly well for my league. My Qb's have been less than stellar. I have an offer for Vick and Ryan Matthews for one of my RB's (I get to choose) Gore, Turner, Mendenhall or McFadden. Would you do a deal and what RB would you choose.
Couldn't this have gone in the "OFFICIAL Should I" thread..... I'd say go with McFadden. Gore has been a solid top 5 performer, Mendenhall will be getting Rothleisberger back, and Turner has started to show his explosive self of old. It'd be between McFadden and Turner for me. Turner because he is so injury prone and McFadden cause he has been playing well but could have a fall off at any time this season.
Do it. I don't know how you managed to get all four of those guys on your roster because they're all top-15 RBs, but the reality is you'll never be able to start any of them at QB, and Mathews may be down and out now but when healthy he is still a top 10-12 RB in my opinion. Obviously the rest of your league isn't very smart. Have no mercy. Offer him McFadden and take the trade. If he insists on someone else, do it anyway. Vick is the 2nd best fantasy QB so far behind Rodgers. You're actually upgrading at both RB and QB just because some idiot is panicking over a short-term injury. It's like taking candy from a baby.
Ryan Matthews hasn't really showed us anything yet. However, I'm not a big believer in McFadden either, so I'd definitely do the deal.
McFadden for those two (considering your QB sucks) is a great deal. How'd you wind up with all of that talent at RB? 8 person league? Gore/Turner are 1st rounders.
Didn't see th official way down the page. Merged this though because you are right it should be here. My QB is Eli but I don't have to drop him. I ended up with those four because it is a 10 team league and most of the guys playing are old and have no idea. They play because we get together a few times a year and drink beer and they like to do that. I am going with McFadden (which is who I was going to send anyway) I just wanted to be sure.
I am thinking about sitting Andre Johnson. His ankle problem, combines with going against Nnamdi this week concern me. Andre never had big games against him and he may not even be used a lot due to his injury. Thoughts?
