never saw this thread...so...i have michael redd and now he's out indefinitely, i have a chance to drop him and pick up ron artest or ak47 in a few days..should i do it?
I would say both Murphy and Ariza are better FANTASY players. In real life you would want Jamison, but for fantasy purposes, Ariza and Murphy are prolly better. But for the trade, what are you laking on your team. Ariza will get you steals and 3s while Murphy gets you rebounds, FG% and a block or 2
Huh. damn. I ended up swapping Arenas for Jamison. I figured they were scoring the same, with ~same Stls+Blks. So the swap was essentially me giving up Ast and FT% for Rebs and FG%. I am extremely weak in Ast, so I gave up on the category. My team is made up of jump-shooting bigs in order to win the majority of categories (5) in Pts, Blks, 3PM, Rebs, FT%. Jamison helps me more in those categories than Arenas. Current Roster: Stuckey, Tyreke Evans, Nowitzki, Bargnani, Granger, Aldridge, Luol Deng, Ray Allen, Ariza, Chris Kaman, Jamison, Carl Landry (picked him to replace Lou Williams; intend to pick him up again just before he comes back). Did I lose badly in the trade?
Josh Howard or Memo Okur? Both are FAs. Howard is coming off an injury, but he seems like he could put up some nice point totals since he's so versatile and explosive. Okur's numbers are down from last season, but he's been consistent. As of now, both are putting up similar numbers, but Howard has only played in 3 games this season.
Mehmet Okur. Howard drove me crazy last year with how injury prone he was. I think it'll be somewhat the same this year. As long as Boozer is healthy and playing the way he is, Okur will not get big numbers. But same goes for Dallas who are stacked.
I need 3 of the following to start: -Donald Driver @ Chicago -Hines Ward @ Cleveland -Hakeem Nicks vs. Philly -TJ Housh @ Houston -Robert Meachem @ Atlanta -Mike Sims-Walker vs. Miami I thing Driver for sure, as well as Meachem, he has been playing well as of late. Is Ward hurt? I thought I heard something about that. Housh has sucked all year but he will be against Dunta this week. Nicks has also been playing well as of late. I'm really not considering Sims-Walker.
Ward should be out Thursday, he tweaked his hamstring, and Wallace should be taking his spot. Probably go with Driver, Meachum (what a week last week) and TJ. You could go with Nicks, but the only team more unpredictable than Philly lately has been the Giants.
yeah sucks that Hines is out I'd go Driver, Meachem, and Sims-Walker/Housh (tossup) personally, I dislike Housh as a fantasy player and I like Sims-Walker...so that's the direction I'd go. But you sound like you're the complete opposite...and I think they are equal this week going in
Sims-Wallker just has never gotten me more than 2 points when I start him. Nicks has been getting 7-9 pts consistently. Not great, but solid. Housh is completely unpredictable, but I think he may have a big game vs. Dunta
Whats Santonio Holmes forecast for tonight? If Ward is out should I look to him? Normally I wouldn't even start him (3 WR league).
Who are your other 3 that you normally start? My expectation is that Pitt will run the crap out of the ball for most of the game and won't have to pass too much. But they still will, so you gotta think Santonio should have a decent game. But Wallace is just as likely to have an especially good game as Santonio I'd think. My money is more on Mendenhall
Ward has been upgraded to a gametime decision, but its supposedly going to be high teens to low twenties, with a good chance of snow later on. Expect lots of running, but Ben does get stubborn sometimes.
Hell yes. This guy is putting up crazy stats lately after gaining Manning's trust. Just gotta hope Manning continues to play and not rest up for the NFL playoffs.
I just tried to add him and drop Sims-Walker but it won't let me. WTF? How is he on the cannot cut list? He only has the 4th most points for a reciever on my own damn team
When this happens and there's a player I really want I just drop my kicker and pick up another after looking at the weekly match ups. I never stick with one kicker unless they're on fire. Too hit and miss. Edit- NM. Read it wrong. You'll then be stuck without a kicker if there's not another player you want to drop. Why Sims is a cannot cut player is beyond me. He's done nothing on my teams these past 5 weeks.
Have Sims-Walker, Boldin, Wayne, Manningham, Austin, you name it I have it haha. That is why Holmes never sees the light of day. But Wayne is playing hurt and Sims-Walker and Boldin have been inconsistent. Never play Manningham either.
