The reason I have doubts is that he hasn't been that great when Westbrook's been out this year. Underwhelming against KC. I think he had all his yards on one run against NYG. To go with that, not too many catches. Also, it seems Philly would rather throw it 50 times a game. Now, they do have a better offense than Washington, but the Skins are more dedicated to the run and rely on Betts a lot more than Philly/McCoy. There is a chance Dallas blows them out, but Betts is still part of the passing game. Betts has been a stud the last two games, especially last week against Denver in poor playing conditions with a supposed bum foot. To me it's a tough decision.
Rivers' numbers in Denver: 53 completions in 77 attemps, 869 yards, 7 touchdowns, 3 interceptions (Also keep in mind that one of those interceptions was the one that was wrongly ruled an interception, but that did not get overturned because of Ed Hoculi's "faulty replay equipment")
Since Ronnie Brown is out for the season, I need to add another running back. The following are options: -Ahmad Bradshaw -Julius Jones -Reggie Bush -Willis McGahee -Jamaal Charles -Fred Jackson
Crap. I knew I should have gotten Williams a while back. I figured it would be stupid to own both backs. I'll have to use either Slaton/Moats and then rely on either Mccoy or J Stewart. My biggest regret this season was passing on Chris Johnson
I just pick up Fred Jackson from the waiver, due to his injury!!! Note that Bradshaw's foot is a lingering injury, Jamaal Charles is the primary rb for the chiefs now, I would pick him up if he was available in my league over fred jackson.
That really sucks, first leon washington, then owen daniels, then dwayne bowe and now ronnie brown. Give me a freaking Break!!
Should I trade Steve Slaton (sad to do this) for Tony Romo. My other running backs are MJD and Ricky Williams (likely starter now)? My current QBs are Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco; both have had subpar seasons so far.
i'd say yes. You can matchup play the 3 QBs if all doing well. But for now, I'd go Romo until one of the others shows up again. This is assuming you start 2 RBs and no flex spots. If you have a flex, it depends on who your other options are for it
My flex is usually Miles Austin. My two WRs are Hines Ward and Wes Welker. The only thing that concerns me is lack of flexibility at the RB position in case of injury. I would be thin at that position. The more I think about this, I'm leaning toward not doing this trade. Romo is definitely more consistent than my two existing QBs, but I expect/hope one of them to pick it up (they both started the season so well).
ok if you have zero other backup RBs, maybe you hold off. But if you have other guys, or if guys as good as, say, Beanie Wells are on the wire in your league (i don't know how deep your league is), I'd pull the trigger. You'd have the Romo Austin connection going also.. would be nice.
safe as in? He's gonna play just like he always does, I'm sure. I think Deangelo will play, too, so don't expect him to get 25 carries or anything
It says he has a minor injury, I was wondering if he was gonna get his normal carries. I haven't started him all season, but with Brown out for the season, I don't have a lot of options.
Romo-Austin connection would be nice. I have Mike Bell and Justin Forsett as my other bench RBs. It's a 10 team league; there are usually decent filler players available on the wire (Beanie Wells is taken). My other likely option to "upgrade" at QB is get Jay Cutler. I know he's been extremely turnover prone recently, but my league only docks 1 point per interception. He's a risk nonetheless. I would go after Ben Roethlisberger if I didn't have Hines Ward and Heath Miller as weekly starters.
Stewart should be fine injury-wise. He may be sharing carries with DeAngelo, but Stewart has put up big numbers this year.
I have Stewart and I'm leaning on not playing him. It's a tough decision bc of the monster week he had Sunday. I just don't know about starting on a few days rest esp when he's a little banged up.
