I'm being offered Pau Gasol for Cody Zeller. Should I go for it?

Is anybody else running into the problem of teams with losing records refusing to make any trades at all?

There's a girl in my league who is averaging around 50 points per week, half of which come from Aaron Rodgers. She refuses to make any trades to her team and gets upset when you offer. After Owen Daniels went down, she needed a tight end (didn't have a second one on her roster) and the waivers were pretty slim. I have Colby Fleener on my bench and offered her Colby Fleener and Darren McFadden for Darren Sproles and a filler piece, only to be denied. She ended up picking up Kyle Rudolph off of waivers, despite him playing a good defensive team in Carolina this week and lacking a defined role/QB.

Rudolph/Sproles > Fleener/McFadden. You can't blame her for declining your poor offer.

I would stay with Hilton since you are thin at WR and you are ok at RB. Hilton to me is like Desean Jackson.. some games you will get big numbers and some games you will get a dud. I'm not really high on Bernard.. Hes still sharing with BJGE and he got 19 carries last game.

    My Team
    Matt Ryan, Big Ben
Andre Johnson, Jordy Nelson, Roddy White, Alshon Jeffery Cecil Shorts
Marshawn Lynch, Matt Forte, Andre Ellington, Le'veon Bell
    Julius Thomas

I was offered AJ green for Jordy Nelson, Cecil Shorts and Le'veon Bell..

Standard league, who wins this trade?

I think you're overpaying, and you're sacrificing week 8. With the way Green and Nelson have been playing, there's no need to include LeVeon Bell. Nelson/Jeffery is a fair offer.

Should I start TY Hilton (@SD) over Jordy Nelson (@BAL) ?

I think Baltimore has the tougher pass defense, but TY Hilton looks very promising...

    I would play TY.

I would usually say stick with your studs..

But after BAL played Denver in the first game, they've been consistenly good against WRs.

SD has been consistently bad against WRs. Play Hilton.

I'd stick with your studs. Jordy Nelson.

Jacksonville is horrible, and Hilton only got 5 fpts against them. Seattle is great, and Hilton got 26 fpts against them. You have no idea what you'll get from Hilton, but we do know the Colts are a run-first team and their #1 receiving option is Reggie Wayne.

Non-PPR, 2WR, 2RB, 1flex. Was offered Spiller for Blackmon. Do I consider it?

RBs- T. Richardson, Powell, Lacy, Wilson
WRs- Amendola, Cruz, Blackmon, Gordon, Wallace, Edelman

It all depends on your team needs.

If Zeller averages 28-32 minutes a game, he can fill up the stat sheet with boards, steals, and blocks.

But not knowing how your team will shake out.

I would stick with Gasol. Gasol will be in for a more productive season with Dwight not being there to eat space. Not knowing how producitve Kobe will be, Gasol will be leaned on more offensively.

Gasol shoots good FT% with a good rebounding rate. In fantasy this is important, most bigs will get your the rebounds and blocks but will bring down your FT%.

Wilson is out for awhile, that will hurt especially through the bye week period.

I wouldn't do it. I like Blackmon, but with someone like Spiller.. you can get a better WR.

Target someone like Cobb or Jordy. Josh Gordon. Decker. Maybe a Marshall owner, who's not liking his production.

I have Blackmon, not Spiller. Stacy is a FA target. So is Brown (NYG) down the road. I'll most likely drop Wilson.

I'd do it, you can sacrifice the WR depth for a solid RB play in Spiller.

I want to... but I'm worried Spiller winds up with 3-5 TD's total by seasons end. Blackmon will surely have at least 5 at worst.

Couldn't agree more. Being in last place put you in a position where you certainly need to take bigger risks, but that doesn't mean taking stupid risks that do nothing to immediately improve their weekly totals. At this point in the year, top teams will need to sacrifice depth, and the bottom teams need to use what few assets they have to spread scoring out.

I went to sleep Monday grinning ear to ear as I had secured 1st place in my league, but woke up Tue to find out I had lost Julio for the season. This forced me to make my first move of the year. The 8th place team had Dez, and we worked out Dez for Decker & Amendola(PPR League).

IMO, it was an ideal trade for both parties given our current situations. One of the two WR's I gave up was going to end up on my bench each week. While Dez is clearly more likely to put up 30 on a given week, Decker & Danny are each capable of it. More importantly for him, they can each high weekly floors & can be counted on to combine for about 35-40pts. Consistent scoring across starting positions is something poor teams often lack.

Perfect example of the type of move teams on opposite sides of their league's spectrum need to make. If you want to lift Sproles from a bad team, you'll need to offer a high risk/reward player like McFadden, PLUS a dependable player they can count on more than their current starters.

    Andre.

Danny needs to prove he's healthy with a performance closer to his week 1 before he's worth starting over someone like Andre.
