What was I thinking, I grouped celek with the heath miller's, kellen winslow, tony gonzalez, jeremy shockey, greg olsen, jason witton, john carlson... avreage the rest is below average and that leaves Dallas clark, vernon davis and and even owen daniels has better fantasy numbers than the previous group while being in the IR. Good luck in your league.
LOL! Celek is the 4th ranked TE behind Clark, Davis, and Daniels. Ahead of perenial Pro Bowlers Witten, Gonzalez, Gates, and Shockey. If that's your idea of average.....well do I really need to say anything more.
Antonio gates same group, I don't go by the 11-20 range for average, I see a drop of from the top two TE.
I think McNabb is starting to trust him more and more. He's caught a touchdown in each of his last two games and he's going up a San Diego defense that lets tight ends loose. Could be a big day.
Wow. I started with Zach Miller, but Russell made it impossible to keep him, so I picked Celek up. My dad has Gates and Davis.
Sorry, I'm temporarily hijacking this thread for fantasy basketball, since my fantasy football team is done zone. I play in a 10 team league (9 starter spots), and scoring is H2H box score categories (Pts, Reb, Ast, Stl, Blk, 3ptM, FG%, FT%). My team in draft order: Danny Granger Dirk Nowitzki Andrea Bargnani Gilbert Arenas Chris Kaman LaMarcus Aldridge Ray Allen Trevor Ariza Lou Williams Luol Deng Rodney Stuckey Tyreke Evans It's pretty strong all around, but I have dominated in Pts, FT%, and am above average in Reb, 3ptM, Blk. Average in Steals and poor in assists, FG%. I've decided to build my team around Granger, Nowitzki, Bargnani, Arenas, Allen and Ariza, since it will give me the best shot at winning more than 4 categories each week. These guys are all great at 3pt shooting scorers, who can rebound a little bit. So, I should strengthen Pts, Blk, FT%, and add to Reb and 3ptM, right? Players that don't fit: LaMarcus Aldridge (no 3ptM, low blocks), Lou Williams (not a 3pt shooter or rebounder), Stuckey (not a 3pt shooter), Evans (good for pts, ast, stl). Question is: Should I trade Aldridge for Mehmet Okur? Reasons to send Aldridge: currently underperforming, with low blocks, no 3pt shooting Reasons to get Okur: better 3ptM, currently gives the same Reb+Pts+Blks Or, should I wait until Aldridge's numbers to improve, because i know he can give me a lot of Pts and will probably improve in his Blks. Second part of the post is to find other players who can contribute to the categories I want to win. I should be able to get them through trades (current trading block: Aldridge, Lou Wiliams, Deng, Stuckey and Tyreke Evans) and Waivers. PF/C positions: Al Harrington, Troy Murphy, Charlie Villanueva, Channing Frye Small Forward: Paul Pierce (right?), Jeff Green, Turkoglu (?) SG/PG: who? I guess these positions can really only contribute to 3ptM, Pts and FT% right? I can't think of players who could give me this... Manu Ginobili?
Charles over Sproles (league w/ return yards) this week? Sproles has been horrible the past two weeks. Titans (vs. Buf) or Cards (vs. Sea)?
I picked up the Titans D this week in two leagues as they seem healthy finally and have been playing lights out. With Buffalo's anemic offense coming into town, I'm hoping it was the right choice. I sat SF D.
I went with the Cardinals D, and wish I had went ahead with the Titans. Of course it took two late defensive TDs to make the Titans D put up serious fantasy numbers. They had just burned me too many times earlier this year.
Do or die week for me, need a player for flex in a PPR: L Betts @ Dallas L McCoy @ Bears Also managed to pick up Bernard Scott and Forsett both, but I don't really see myself going with either unless Benson is officially ruled out.
Help me please I need a QB. Philip Rivers @ Denver - He's been on a tear, except for the last Denver game, where he nearly goose egged me. Denver did just give 27 points to Washington of all teams. Campbell had 17/26 for 200yds. Ben Roth @ KC - Negative points for me last week. Chiefs are 24th in the league in pass D, but last week was very offputting, and in the last 3 weeks he's been less than passable.
