Bradshaw hasn't been the same since he came down with this foot problem (or since it became more severe). Mccoy is iffy with Westbrook questionable, and just not a big fan of Ricky in an unpredictable offense. I'd flip a coin between Mendenhall and Stewart...both have their downsides though. Denver could shut down the Pitt run game, and NO could have a big lead which would erase Carolina's run game.
What about Moats? Should I consider him? If I'm going to take a gamble, why not Moats? He falls forward every time, and I think the Texans will do well on the ground against IND
I wouldn't start Moats over any of those guys, much less drop one of them for him. I like Moats as a runner but our running game is still suspect, and Slaton and Brown are still going to get carries for now. Brown is the best blocker and Slaton is the best receiver out of the backfield. I doubt Moats will even break 100 yds again, and we've been much more prone to passing TD's this season.
wow I'd start Ricky definitely.. Bradshaw or Mendenhall are tied for 2nd for me, both with doubts (if Bradshaw was healthy and carried the ball more last week, I'd have put him at #1)
Looks like Westbrook will play and probably start. McCoy is suffering from a very bad case of the flu and may not even be able to play and if he does he won't be 100%.
I'm sure they (Patriots) are game planning like crazy for the Wildcat. Last year when the Dolphins really broke out the Wildcat the Patriots had no answer. That was the game where Brown rushed for 4 TD's all on direct snaps and even threw for a passing TD. I'm sure the Pats will be ready for the Wildcat but I still think both Brown and Ricky will have solid games. They're a load to handle and by far the best running back tandem in the league. With that said I think if the Dolphins have great success with the wildcat/running game the main culprit will be Brown so I'd lean towards Stewart. As Pun mentioned I think the Saints rush D is positively skewed and it can be penetrated by a big/strong/physical back ala Turner on MNF. I think Stewart is relatively healthy and a healthy J-stew is quite the load. Physical freak of nature with breakaway speed. As for the others...... Bradshaw's about to break that bone in his foot any play now. McCoy is decent at best right now. He didn't look to great his last 2 weeks when he got a lot of carries with the exception of breaking a big one last week. Besides, the Eagles are all about the big play, big pass game right now. Denver coming off a loss playing at home is going to be troublesome for Mendy. I'd go J-Stew for sure. Followed by Ricky Williams, Mendy, McCoy and Bradshaw last.
I got raped last week, so I need a win this week to keep my 1 game lead and Adrian Peterson is on a BYE. So some help please: WR: I need 3 of these guys - Donald Driver (@TB) - Hines Ward (@DEN) - T.J. Houshmanzadeh (vs. DET) - Mario Manningham (vs. SD) - Mike Sims-Walker (vs. KC) - Hakeem Nicks (vs. SD) RB: I need 2 of these guys - Ronnie Brown (@NE) - Jonathan Stewart (vs NO) these guys are available FAs - Ahmad Bradshaw (vs. SD) - Tim Hightower (@ CHI) - Willis McGahee (@CIN) - Reggie Bush (vs. CAR)
Driver for sure Sims-Walker I'm still hoping will get back to what he was Housh and hope he can beat up the DET secondary (I'm not sold, but I think the Giants will go with the run and Kevin Boss given SD's weaknesses, and although Ward has been spectacular this year, it's hard to give him the nod given Champ Bailey and the Denver defense in general) the 2 RB's you have are the plays..
I feel you man. I got Brown as well. But remember the golden rule in FF. Never ever bench your studs. Brown even with his 2 bad performances in a row is a stud in every sense of the word. You KNOW he's not gonna have 3 terrible performances in a row. Just remember last year when people benched Brown cause he was playing the Pats he scored 5 td's. and leave J-stew as your other running back. WR's: start Housh. Driver. MSW
Would you still start Stewart even if you had Deangelo Williams? That's a huge risk if the Panthers start playing catch up against the Saints
I'm thinking about the following trade: I give up Favre, Slaton, A. Bryant, C. Taylor I get S. Jackson, Burrleson or Sim-Walker Does that make sense if I can get the other guy to go for it? I just don't trust Slaton right now.
if you can? Hell yes! you're giving up Slaton + crap for a top 7 RB at worst (i like him top 5 personally) and a very useful WR in Sims-Walker I think the other guy is an idiot if he takes it
What if I dropped Sim-Walker from the deal? Would it still be OK? What if I replaced Bryant with Marshall?
dropping Sims-Walker...yeah, then it's so-so if he needs a QB and doesn't haveo ne better than Favre. Still a crappy deal for him imo.. Slaton and his question marks + Bryant who hasn't done anything this year save for a TD here and there (and has no QB to throw to him) + Favre (up and down, middle of the pack fantasy QB) + Taylor (nothing unless AP goes down).. really that package doesn't amount to much. If I was on the other end, I wouldn't give up Steven Jackson straight for that platter you're offering up. Now if you switched out Bryant for Brandon Marshall, now we can make it interesting. Give me Slaton + Marshall for SJax + Burleson? I *might* consider that if I had a surplus at RB and could use a WR upgarde. I mean hey, if you can convince a guy to give you more for less, by all means do it. I just can't imagine someone doing what you were originally asking..
I don't either. Well I'm thinking about offering this final package. Offering: Favre, Slaton, Marshall and Taylor Wanting: Jackson and his worst wide receiver. Here are our rosters: Mine: QB: McNabb, Favre RB: Slaton, Westbrook, F. Jones, J. Jones, C. Taylor, J. Harrison WR: Colston, Marshall, Driver, Bryant TE: Celek DEF: Vikings, Seahawks K: Folk His: QB: Cutler, Hasselback RB: Jackson, Grant, Rice, K. Smith, Wells, M. Bell WR: Burleson, Moss, Ochocinco, Sims-Walker TE: Clark DEF: Packers, Bears K: Crosby Are there any other angles I should take? I might need to slip F. Jones in there since Taylor and Favre are on byes and he is a Cowboy fan.
BTW, as you can see RB is a major weak spot. Besides J. Jones, everybody is splitting carries, unhealthy, or both. Is J. Charles worth going for? If so, what should I offer for him? Since the question comes up, here is a list of the free agent RBs in my league
My team looks like this... QB - Matt Hasselbeck RB - Mike Bell RB - Jamaal Charles RB/WR - Michael Crabtree WR - Greg Jennings WR - Reggie Wayne TE - Dallas Clark D/ST - Saints K - David Akers Bench - RB Adrian Peterson BYE WEEK RB Marshawn Lynch BYE WEEK WR Braylon Edwards BYE WEEK WR Sidney Rice BYE WEEK QB Matt Cassel RB Rashard Mendenhall WR Mike Wallace I don't know what to do with Mike Bell. Should I bench him for Mendenhall or pick up either Ryan Moats/Maurice Morris/Kevin Faulk/Ladell Betts/Mewelde Moore?
