I did. He has a BYE but I think he may be get swooped up soon and has better value than NYJ's TE who is on the waivers. I like that guy but his name is totally escaping me at the moment. Brain is rotting.
His named was spelled Jeffires but it was pronounced Jeffries. Yeah he was a probowler that year too.
Fred Jackson's about done, they're giving Beast Mode all the work now. Who'd be the better pickup ? Mike Bell (committee share with Pierre Thomas and Bush but they're not even trying to fake putting Bush in the backfield much anymore. Possible goalline threat) Jamaal Charles (depending on LJ situation. Typical projection as 3rd down back but could get more work). Julius Jones (is considered their feature back but doesnt do anything with his touches) He is putting up yardage for sure. Forte has to be frustrating. Though having Pierre Thomas hasnt been that much more comforting either. And Webster Slaughter was just as good as Curtis Duncan. Hell of a receiving corp that team, when they have what amounts to Kevin Walter as a 4th receiver
It was Givens I was thinking of. You keep losing! Jones has a soft schedule. But I think Charles is kind of exciting too. I say go for the gamble and ignore Bell.
Brady is on a bye this week. Should I trade Flacco for Garrard this week? Keep in mind this would be a one week use of Garrard. Garrard tore TEN apart earlier this year. Initially I proposed Hassleback for Garrard, but the other guy wanted Flacco instead. The only thing that is holding me back is that Flacco would actually be a servicable replacement if Brady went down.
I say Charles is the play And yeah I'd go Jeffires > Givens > Slaughter > Duncan... and Drew Hill had just left, too
I would keep Flacco for the reason you gave. If you trade him, I would trade him for an upgrade at another position (or trade Brady and start Flacco)....not for a 1 week use of an inconsistent guy.
It would be hard to trade Flacco for a nonQB player in return - even in a packaged deal. Everyone in my 10 team league has a solid starting QB that is as good or better than Flacco. Plus Flacco has some nightmare matchups coming up soon.
10 team league, yeah you're right. Then I'd rather start him this week in order to keep him the rest of the season as a backup...as opposed to getting 1 week out of Garrard and then having to deal with Garrard in the event that Brady goes down
I am gonna drop either Green Bay or Minny to pick up Garrard to start for this week instead of Flacco
I just traded Flacco for Garrard. Every win is needed so I'm going week by week. My league is so close that I went from 10th to 5th this week.
I have a 2 game lead on everyone else in my league, so I am not too worried about it. I am only adding garrard because he is playing the Titans. Flacco is worth keeping imo. I have started him over Brady a few times this year and it has paid off.
