I already answered your question earlier. Bench Stewart because three's a crowd in Carolina. But don't be surprised if the Shanahans decide to roll with Torain in the game plan at Helu's expense. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6425248&postcount=5276
Seattle's run D hasn't been as strong the last few weeks. They may have stopped Rice and Sjax but also gave up 100+ and a touch to both Murray and Helu. Defensively here's what's happening. Their MLB Hawthorne left mid-game because of a knee problem. He's had knee problems a lot this year, and like Demeco only looks good moving north/south. That leaves average talent in the LB group. It wouldn't be a problem if their stud SS Kam Chancellor was in run support. But with a rookie and sophomore at CB they're keeping both him and Earl Thomas back more to help out in coverage.
Decker is a borderline WR1 in my book. Number of targets makes you worry, but each one is a jordy nelson play waiting to happen. ED's shown that he's adjusting to the ball, which is skill #1 needed for a QB with a cannon's accuracy. With the Broncos rushing 50 times a game (which is on average 75-85%% of a teams offensive snaps). he won't be seeing nickel/dime defenses that much, and that means man coverage for Decker.
Question for all: Is AJ80 still considered stud, I mean Kubes is already bishin cause he played 10 more snaps than he would have liked him to Sunday and now he has a rookie at the helm... should I sit him for Crabtree this week? I figure they'll have to score thru the air and ground to keep up with the Falcons, ya know.
good info. One thing I'm realizing is that while the best rushers seattle has faced this year are amassing 70 yards, give or take, Stewart has only reached that number once, as a rusher, and twice more as a receiver. And while it is true that the 70 yard game came last week against the 2nd weakest run d in the league, they are facing a similar team this week. If it's a matter of upside, I should go with McCoy. I just can't shake the feeling that Stewart is going to score this week. But 70 yards and a score is still only 13 points.
I'm playing him because I have no other options. But here are the thoughts regarding Yates that keep me optimistic. 1- Run game and Kubiak's system will allow for some real easy PA passes every few set of downs. 2- Rookies to target the talent. Moore's first game starting with Miami gave Marshall 8 targets. His second game Marshall had 13, and that's with Revis covering him. 3- Rookies make careless throws. That means throws into double coverage, wild throws, jump balls, so AJ will have to adjust to the ball and fight for the catch. I think we get to see AJ's playmaking ability for the first time in a while. OTOH Yates could stick to Gary's gameplan 100% and spread the ball around, and AJ is used as a decoy all game long to stretch the defense.
I think I already mentioned my love of Crabtree. He is a solid #2, in my opinion. I haven't followed AJ. But he has a lot of things against him right now. Rookie QB, Falcon's D, his injury. To me this is a no-brainer. AJ sits.
I see all you guys' points of views, and I'm gonna be super torn between who to start I mean I also have Fitz and he hasn't necessarily been a must start all season. But the Falcons pass D has been far from stellar 24th in the league and AJ looks pretty good from bouncing back his injury. Thanks all for the input I have a lot of thinking to do this weekend with the postseason on the line. Ugh.
Tell me about it. The one week I don't have Fitz in the lineup due to playing Megatron and Mike Wallace with 3 RBs is the week he scores 26. My usual lineup is the 3 WR with Ray Rice and Ryan Mathews/McGahee. But now I have Michael Bush in the mix. So I am runnin with the three WR, Rice, and Bush.
Torn on whether I should start DeSean Jackson over my Brandons (Lloyd, Marshall). He hasn't done **** all season.
A good problem to have this week, pick 3 of the WRs: Welker Cruz D.Jax Holmes L.Robinson Thinking about going w/ the bold. Maybe should go with Robinson over Welker (crazy I know) since I doubt NE won't have to throw too much.
Dang that's tough dude, I'd be tempted to roll 2 receivers and 3 backs with that type of line up, of course all based on matchups and such. Bush has been money Rice is up and down with how behind the Ravens have been this season but is still a stud and McGahee will get plenty of carries in that Bronco/Tebow system. Wallace's play has decreased due to Ben's injuries and O-line ineffectiveness and Fitz again.... just has no QB period. Tough waters but I wish I had those options right about now.
Robinson over Jackson. This is a great week for Jackson to go off after his benching, but I just don't trust him at all anymore.
Yeah, DJax has been on my bench for the past month+, and Miles Austin not practicing just made it an easier decision. Wouldn't be surprised if DJax outscores Welker this week though.
always play the studs man unless they got a debilitating injury. But I dont think you'll miss much the other 3 can make up for sitting him
