Do you play in a 30 man league? LOL I thought you listed guys that you would possibly pick up after dropping Moss but all those guys are really on your team? Seriously?
I play in a 14 team league. Each roster has 19 spots. I'm in a national league and it is pretty serious. 19 * 14 = 266 players. Yahoo Standard is what like 10 teams and 15 spots. 150 players, bigggggg difference. My starting lineup is a good one though. Alex Smith or Josh Freeman Lesean Mccoy Ryan Mathews Mario Manningham Mike Wallace (flexible) Fred Davis Detroit D Dan Bailey (Flex) Jonathan Stewart All pretty solid. Manningham I think is coming around. I need him to. Also, before he got hurt, Moss was my third receiver. The reason I need a drop is because I am thinking about picking up Greg Camarillo or Devin Aromashodu. I'd like to get V. Shiancoe, but I doubt if I will be able to bid enough for him.
Outside of McCoy, Matthews and Wallace all the rest of your players are WW fodder even in a 12 team league. Why is there so many roster spots? How many players do you guys start each week?
Why are you judging my team again? The thing you might not understand, and surely aren't seeing is that 266 players were drafted. That means, among other things, that Demarco Murray was drafted. Cam Netwon drafted. Jordy Nelson drafted. So, building a poorly drafted team through the waiver wire was impossible. By the way, Fred Davis is a top 5 te this year. Hardly fodder. Dan Bailey is the number 1 kicker. I have 2 running backs in the top 7 at their position. And a flex number 3 (stewart, top 25), when most in my league have one one in the top 15 backs. And while manningham hasn't done much this year, he nearly had 3 tds last week. No, I'm not in a league that you can draft Mccoy, Brady and Foster and Wallace on the same team. This league is much harder to do that.
I'm not judging your team. I could care less but I actually want your team to do well. It's just that no "good team" ever started with Alex Smith or Josh Freeman at QB.
My worst draft decision was drafting Josh Freeman as my only and only qb. The guy has killed my team. But even as bad as he has been, he is still averaging 20 points per game. Aaron Rodgers is averging 36 points, brees, newton and brady are in the 30s. Other than that, the rest of the league is between 26 or lower. Sure, if I wanted to pick up Rodgers (went 2nd overall in my draft), Brady, Brees went in the second round. I actually like that I went Mccoy and Wallace with my first 2 picks. I could have gotten Netwon. This was a mistake, he went 18 round. grrrr, I could have gotten Stafford or Big Ben in the same round I drafted Freeman in, but I thought (many thought) freeman was going to have a big year. Luckily my team is balanced enough to withstand his bad weeks, but it has been a struggle. Regardless, calling my team fodder is just clueless to fantasy football.
Also, on the waiver wire, there is nobody outside of Christan Ponder left. A guy just picked up Curtis Painter last week. Ponder will be scoped up this week by somebody that still has bidding money. I don't. I wasted all of my fa money already. Oh, and I am sure that you know JUST HOW TO MAKE MY BAD TEAM GOOD. Fantasy guru.
This is the guy who is judging my team? Really? A 12 team league and you drafted 3 qb, lol. 2 Defenses. And the only guy I would hate worse than Freeman would be Matt Ryan. But then you did a solid and took Matt Cassel as well. I bow to you. Truly great draft. You took a player that was out of the league in Terrell Owens, lol. That is 4 wasted picks.
Pick two: Desean Jackson vs. Dal Brandon Marshall @ NYG Brandon Lloyd vs. NO Nate Washington vs Ind Victor Cruz vs. Mia
Wow, this is coming from the guy that practically BEGS for others for advice. If you can't take the criticism just don't post your team. I've been getting ragged every time I posted my team for not having a good/great #2 wideout, which I admit to waiting way too long to pick my 2 in a ppr league. But now I have AJ and Fitz far from stellar but will do better than other options. But seriously don't ask for advise post your team and expect NOT to get some type of negative feedback.... on.... Clutchfans? Nah, that would never ever happen here. Please take it on the chin and move along.
I'd be taking a flier on Ponder if I were you. Kid has some serious wheels, and as we've seen time and again, QBs with wheels are fantasy gold even if their pocket passing skills are questionable.
I would if I had the fa dollars to go after him. In this league you are given 1000 dollars to bid with at the beginning of the season. I am down to 15.00 I need at least 1.00 to bid on a bye week defense. And, I just doubt that the 14.00 remaining dollars that I have will be enough to outbid people in my league. People in this league, for whatever reason, hoard qbs. Some have 3 qbs and never play the other 2.
The only thing that saved me from Matt Ryan hell was waiver wiring the **** out of Cam Newton. Saved 2 of my seasons. In league I'm stuck with him, I have Adrian Peterson, LeSean McCoy, Jimmy Graham and a glut of mediocre receivers that have helped me maintain a 5-2 record.
I was so stupid for not taking Cam Newton in my draft. I took Joel Dressen instead, lololol. Though lately Dressen has been pretty good, but I wouldn't see it. I dropped him like a bad habit.
Maybe I went overboard in trying to prove that Asian wasn't a fantasy know-it-all. I should have kept my cool, but I didn't like being attacked. Thanks for bringing back to earth. Though begging for advice is a little much, don't you think?
I'm short on WR's this week because of the byes and I have a glut of RB's. I was offered Get - Stevie Johnson Send - Steven Jackson Jackson has been mediocre, at best. There isn't crap on our wire for WR's. Would you guys take the deal? The only drawback I see is that the Bills still get the Jets twice, which means Johnson gets Revis twice. (Fitzpatrick is also my qb)
I would do the deal. I like Stevie Johnson a lot. The guy is probably playing the Revis card, which is very shrewd, but I still think Johnson can get you value in those games.
I'm trying to get a running back by trade since its my weakest position. I've currently got Chris Johnson, Michael Turner, and Jonathan Stewart. I'm trying to package Eli Manning and a WR for to the only guy in my league that could use a QB. My receivers are Santonio Holmes, AJ Green, Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, Plaxico Burress, Antonio Brown and Torrey Smith. Ideally I would like Darren Sproles. But he also has Shonn Greene, Demarco Murray, Willis McGahee, and Javid Best. So, which WR do you think I should package, or do you think I should just offer Eli for a lesser RB? He already rejected an Eli for Sproles trade (he actually accepted it, but changed his mind and since he is the commish cancelled the trade).
Maybe not beg, but I've noticed a trend in the bumps when someone doesn't respond to your posts. Again these guys are not fantasy genius' as they'd more than likely playing for pay and making millions off it, at least I would be and I'm far from it. All we really have to look at is trends, opportunities, and potential usually that's what we base our starts wire pick ups and trades off of, no one ever gets it completely correct, especially not the "talented" Mr. Roto. Point being I ask advice and if I don't get it I don't, I typically post to see others point of views on my situation and go with my gut cause if you don't and you lose, you're the only one blame. That being said I need help with my flex: Breaston vs Chargers Crabtree vs Lions Demaryius Thomas vs Browns (ww pick up if so) Helu vs Bills (another ww pick up if so) I have Tolbert and Bradshaw starting at RB and Fitz with, crossing my fingers, AJ at WR. I'm dropping Cassell for Ponder if I can't trade for another QB with Rodgers being on bye.
