I think L McCoy is overvalued by many. They are just taking things slow with Westbrooks ankle since its a post surgery sitution. I watched him in that Tampa game last week and he looked fine. I think as the season progresses, Westbrook will become the Westbrook of old and Mccoy will be a non factor. We'll see.
You're putting way too much stock in a well-worn RB returning to old form. Westbrook isn't going to be the clear cut only option anymore, even if he does appear to be as good as he once was. The Eagles aren't going to want to wear him down over the course of the season, and I think they'll continue to go to the air a lot, and use McCoy.
I have a couple of issues this week... Should I start... B. Jacobs or Bradshaw against the Saints...or both (one would have to be the flex player as my other RB is Matt Forte)? If only one, that leaves my flex position open in which I could choose from Leon Washington vs Buffalo Brent Celek @ Oakland
Bradshaw or Washington, Celek hasnt seen much action with Donovan, and theyll keep him blocking more to make use of Maclin/Jackson's speed. Buffalo is 5th best pass D, and N.O. has 7th best rush D. Who do you all think will suck more? Sack Magnet Rivers vs #1 defense Broncos, or Desean Jackson against Nnamdi Asomugha? I can only replace one guy.
What do you guys think of me offering Calvin Johnson and Tashard Choice for Reggie Wayne? Any chance the guy accepts it or do I need to throw in LeSean McCoy to seal the deal? I think Johnson still has value but Wayne is the real deal.
Johnson is hurt and they have a bye the week after that. So he won't be relevant until week 8, and in my league both Choice and Johnson are at the bottom of top 25, while Wayne is #1. I don't see anybody accepting this. You're better off finding some gem of a WR instead. Harder than it sounds of course, but one or two pop up on the radars every week.
I don't know why but I feel McNabb will want to challenge Nnamdi. That's one of the things that worries me about this game. I have an offer of receiving Ronnie Brown for Brandon Marshall and Steve Slaton. Yay or nay?
Not to mention Westbrook is injury prone regardless. McCoy is a safe pick-up to get if you can get him for the right price.
I think Brown is the most consistent out of all of them, plus he has the "big game" factor. I would say yay because Miami will be doing a ton of running, and Brown is the maestro in their Wildcat offense
LT has a touchdown in six straight "Monday Night Football" games. He had 3 on Denver last time they played. Start him.
I have him and I'm banking on him to have a big game but if he does poorly agaisnt Denver especially coming off a bye week and being fully healthy I'd say he's pretty much done. His cuts aren't as sharp and he's not hitting holes like a couple years ago. Understandable though since he's 30 with plently of miles. MNF should be very telling of where LT's headed.
Need a defense this week. Any D that's remotely good is taken; only 14 to choose from. The choices are teams like this (these are the ones I would consider): Jacksonville (StL) Washington (KC) Carolina (@TB) Tampa Bay (Car) Atlanta (Chi) I've used Washington a couple of weeks already, and they really didn't do anything outside of keep the score pretty low (they played the Rams and lost to Detroit). I really don't see much potential there even against KC. The Rams average like 6 points a game and Bulger is starting so I keep thinking about using Jax, thinking MJD's call out is going to motivate them. I don't know, the pickings are pretty slim.
I'd probably just go with Jacksonville out of those. They seem most likely to produce going against St. Louis.
Appreciate the advice. Think I'm going with Carolina at this point. Their history w/the Bucs is domination, I found out, especially at TB. They also have good sack and fumble recovery numbers despite playing really good teams. As bad as the Rams have been, they moved the ball decent on Minny last week and everyone throws on the Jags who have no pass rush. I have the tendency to overthink, and right now I'm wondering if TEN is a darkhorse D pick no one is thinking about.
So I am about to send a trade: Tim Hightower and Percy Harvin for Steve Slaton and Ted Ginn Jr. Basically I just want Slaton, I don't even care about Ginn but assumed he was the worst player on my opponents team. Do you think he will accept it? Hightower has been my flex option and doing well at it for the last couple of weeks. Harvin has potential but rides my bench cuz I have brandon marshall and andre johnson
Okay, decided to go with Washington after all. 45 degrees, windy and rainy is the reason. I'm glad the weather stepped in to help me make a decision.
