Can you put in multiple claims for your empty spot or will you have to cancel your claim on Henderson, in order to place a claim on someone else? If you can only put in one claim, I keep it as Henderson, and look at who is left in the FA pool if it doesn't go through.
I'd rather give up Matt Ryan. If he is dumb enough to trade Bradshaw for either, I would take that. I'd think Ryan for Jackson is a great trade for you.
so back to this, i'm assuming i shouldnt pick up DEN D? which D should i pick up if i drop NO? CIN? should I drop NO now and get CIN? also a few roster questions for week 2. Who should I play at the WR positions, theres 4 WR spots to fill: Roddy White vs PHI Mike Sims-Walker vs NYG Jordy Nelson vs CAR Jeremy Maclin vs ATL Robert Meacham vs CHI AJ Green vs DEN this might seem like a silly question about the RB, but again total newb here so still trying to learn what to look for and such but who should i play at RB spot 2 spots: Adrian Peterson vs TB LeSean McCoy vs ATL Darren Sproles vs CHI Tim Hightower vs ARI CJ Spiller vs OAK i'm going to assume AP and McCoy, probably every week right? only reason i'm asking just trying to get the thought process down here. AP for sure should be playing #1 overall pick for goodness sake, but my question is with McCoy. would hightower be better there this week or should i stick with McCoy against ATL, ATL gave up a lot of points to bears so stick with McCoy?
People. Don't forget the 7th commandment of fantasy football: Never pick up Devery Henderson. He is a good for nothing grinch. Every year, thousands of unsuspecting fantasy football players fall for his endless tease and end up in regret. He only exists for the sole purpose of showing up at the most inopportune opportunity to rob a deserving target (Colston, Moore) of touches, putting up a tantalizing fantasy line, and then proceeding to follow it up with a string of goose eggs for the next four weeks. If you love your sanity, you'll stay away from Devery Henderson.
My question is do I hold on to Colston or not? My other WRs are Miles Austin, Dwayne Bowe, AJ Green, and Hines Ward. Non-PPR league, start 2 WRs and a Flex (also have Mark Ingram and Marshawn Lynch as possibilities here).
Denver D is downgraded after losing two important pieces (Bailey and Dumervil). Always start your studs regardless of matchup. That means Peterson, McCoy, Roddy White. I can see the argument you're trying to make for Hightower but it's usually best to stick to that rule.
so what about the other 3 spots? should i have nelson in this week because hes up against CAR. what about the other 2 spots, meachem and sims walker or maybe green who is up against DEN?
I'm going to say this again. Hightower is the new Willis Mcgahee. If you are counting on him to be anything other than a flex player, you are going to be in a world of hurt. Hightower looked terrible this week and all that really saved him was his td. That being said, I do like that Hightower has a HIGH potential for tds this season, but I would not expect many 100 yard games out of him.
This. I made the mistake of going against that wisdom this week. For your WR I'd go Roddy White-only sit him during bye/injury Jordy Nelson-GB offense, Carolina defense Robert Meacham-Colston is out, Moore is probably out, Henderson is a fantasy bum...so someone has to catch Brees' passes Jeremy Maclin-not sure, just went with best offense
QB1 - Ryan & Flacco WR - Brandon Lloyd, Colston (injured), Jordy Nelson, Jacoby Jones, Brandon Gibson (hoping to drop him for Cadillac) RB - Adrian Peterson, S. Jackson (injured) BJ Green-Ellis, Michael Bush
QB - Rivers or Stafford Do the Chargers get into a crazy shootout with the Patriots? Or does Stafford pick apart the Chiefs? It's a coin flip in my mind right now.
Rivers. He's going to throw and throw a lot for the Chargers to have a chance to keep up with Brady and the Pats.
Jabbar Gaffney should have a decent match up week 2, and if Grossman can play a consistent level this season Gaffney should benefit (They were college teammates, and Gaffney was tied for most targets against NYG.)
I dropped Mark Sanchez for Cam Newton and also dropped Colt McCoy for Rex Grossman. Smart idea? Also my roster stands as this. QB 1 Sanchez, QB 2 McCoy WR Holmes, Maclin, Mason RB Charles, Gore, Tate, Thomas, Torain, TE Jimmy Graham W/R Steven Jackson (injured) K Kaeding (injured) DEF Lions
I did a complete roster overhaul. I dropped Maclin for Randall Cobb. Dropped Leach for Donald Driver. Dropped Ryan Torain for Cadillac Williams and dropped Daniel Thomas for Ted Ginn. Also dropped Kaeding for Adam Vinitaeri.
Why would you drop a proven Jeremy Maclin for a guy that has two career receptions and a kick return? And I don't know what Leach you're talking about but Driver hasn't been too relevant the last couple of years and he's not getting younger. Torain/Williams was a good swap.
