What do you think about it now? Looks like Bensen was the better play today. Who said that again? And who was laughing at me?
It doesn't make any sense also that, you have a guy when you get him the ball in open spaces, he gets 24 yards a pop and yet you'd rather throw it to a guy that gets 6.4 yards per reception. LOL Except for the fact that SD only uses their running backs for pass blocking and to protect Rivers on passes. Tolbert get a full yard less per carry and he is in the game 80 percent of the time. I guess I should have taken Felix Jones. I guy I picked the wrong running back. If I could
Actually, I simply endorsed Hightower and never said anything about starting him over Benson (or anyone else). If I had both I would have probably started Hightower, since I did not have a lot of faith in the Bengals offense. Benson did have a good day, but as has been pointed out, he would have finished with just 90 yards if not for a busted coverage at the end of the game. Again -- I never had an issue with Benson, but fantasy performances tend to have an element of luck about them: for example, no one in their right mind would have started Early Doucet over Larry Fitzgerald, or Cam Newton over Matt Schaub. Hightower is going to have a pretty good fantasy season barring injury and fumblitis, and the Redskins are going to be better than people expected just like I thought.
The Chargers know what they have in Tolbert. That was the point I was trying to make earlier -- that regardless of Mathews' dynamic talent, by all indications he wasn't going to diminish Tolbert's role in the offense. They said he was their goal line guy and that's exactly what they did. It's annoying for Mathews owners, but this was exactly why I refused to draft him.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda. If a frog had wings it wouldn't bust isn't ass hopping. Bensen was the better back, just like I said.
True. Kolb did good for me today. Blount was a complete non-factor and I decided to go him over Bradshaw. Luckily, I am still winning my game by 21 points with Moreno tomorrow night and facing F. Jones and Burress tonight. Thank you Ray Rice!
You're not out of the woods yet, but that's a good advantage to have. I'm a little down on Moreno because of the McGahee factor, but to his advantage John Fox is the new coach and he historically likes to run the ball a lot.
I got screwed in one of my two leagues. David Hawthorne was a late scrub and I played Bradford and left Cam Newton on the bench. Did anyone start Cam Newton?
Even though I am in the lead now my players are done after tonight while my opponent still has Brady. If he even has a mediocre game I will lose. My only hope would be an injury or a terrible performance from him. Oh well, what you get when your #1 pick happened to be chris Johnson this week.
I'm in a good position to win all three of my week one games. That's even though I was stupid enough to sit Ray Rice...lucky break I guess
My lineups are a mess.... Who to start: (pick one) Big Ben vs SEA Eli Manning vs. STL (pick two) Jamaal Charles @ DET Payton Hillis @ IND Matt Forte @ NO (pick two) Robert Meachem vs. CHI Mario Mannigham vs. STL Chad Ochocinco vs. SD Steve Smith (Car) vs. GB
Could really use an outside opinion. 10 team league, 1pt ppr. I am being offered: Jamaal Charles and Mike Williams (TB) for DeSean Jackson and Hakeem Nicks Currently, my roster is: RB: Ray Rice RB: Shonne Greene RB/WR: Greg Jennings WR: Hakeem Nicks WR: DeSean Jackson Be: Ochoa Be: Pierre Thomas Be: lance Moore (injured) Be: Joseph Addai Be: ben Tate Be: Greg little (getting dropped this week for a wire Pick up) I really just need a #2 RB, but have this offer out there. Thoughts?
Who freaking knows? I am already regretting using a high pick on Mario Manningham. I would be ecstatic to have Steve Smith, but then I don't see any team playing Cam Newton the way Arizona played him. Everything he sees going forward will be intricate passing defense and doubling Smith. Forte and Meachem SEEM like good plays. Beyond that, you are on your own.
I will say this, of the players in the deal I like Hakeem Nicks the most. I also think that Jamaal Charles, and KC in general are in for a down year. My instincts well me you should not do the deal. I think that Shone Green as bad as he might be isn't worth what you have to give up to get him. I love Hakeem Nick's potential.
Blargh. I know I'm totally boned. I feel like I have to start Roethlisberger simply because my alternative sucks so bad. At the very least, Seattle is usually TERRIBLE when playing on the East Coast. My real ball-buster decision is who to go with between Charles and Hillis. I think Detroit held Tampa to virtually no rushing yards, while the Colts are charmin soft up the middle. But it's a bitter pill to bench my 1st round pick this early in the year. I dun goofed
Big Ben vs SEA all the way. STL has a decent pass rush. Vick had decent yardage but he has big play makers that Eli doesn't have. Oh, and I wouldn't sit your stud Charles. Then you get to Hillis and Forte, with Hillis playing against the lowly Colts run defense. I'd go Charles and Hillis. I'd play Smith and Meachem at wideout. Both of the Falcons WRs had decent games, without scoring that is.
Blount only had 5 carries for 15 yards. And he isn't the threat in the passing game that Charles is. Charles will be fine. My worry, as a Blount owner, is that there is something going on behind the scenes that will really screw him over.
I say definitely pull the trigger given Shonn Greene (i was never high on him). It's easier to replace really good WR's than really good RB's during the season imo b/c lesser WR's can have good games more often than lesser RB's (at least ones that you'd consider starting) Also, I think Mike Williams isn't far off from Desean for this year's production. He might even outproduce him.
