Pick 2 (at least 1 must be a RB): Fred Jackson @ Detroit Lee Evans @ Detroit DeAngelo Williams @ Tampa Bay (if he's healthy, obviously) Davone Bess vs. Tennessee I'm thinking FJax and Williams with Bess as the alternative if Williams isn't playing. Also: Pierre Garcon or Mike Wallace? I'm thinking Garcon since Collie is confirmed out, but Wallace keeps pulling down those TD's and big catches...
I would be afraid to trust Williams even if he plays. I like Jackson and Evans. I think Lee Evans will have a big game against Detroit, though Bess may be the safer play.
It's hard to trust Williams, I agree. Considering by first two draft picks were Williams and Ryan Grant (and Dallas Clark and Kevin Kolb slightly later), my 6-3 record is surprising. But Jonathan Stewart will be out, so I imagine Williams will get 100% of the goal line carries. However, with Carolina... will there be any goal line carriers to have? Bess is definitely the safest play as he's consistent and gets a lot of targets (though no long bombs). Evans and Williams are inconsistent at best.
ok so need 2 WRs and 1 flex mike sims walker vs hou lee evans vs det knox vs min garcon vs cin dez bryant @ nyg shonn greene @ cle sidney rice @ chi (if he plays) my RBs I am starting is fred jackson @ det and turner vs ravens
Pick a QB Big Ben vs NE Orton vs KC Flacco vs ATL Pick a WR Boldin vs ATL Lloyd vs KC Nicks vs Dal I am for sure going to start Nicks so I need one more WR which I am leaning towards Lloyd and starting Orton to have some bling bling if they get a TD. Big Ben hasn't been as solid as I liked and Boldin just hasn't done it for me. Thoughts?
With Collie out I would go with Garcon. Dez Bryant would be my other because it looks like they are going to get him a lot more involved in the offense going forward to see what he can do and I believe Williams might not play after that hit. Then the flex will be a bit hard. Sims Walker against Houston probably would be my choice given our secondary woes.
I think you gotta go Sims Walker and Garcon. Other than that, either Dez Bryant or pick up Evans or Thomas (prob about the same probability of having a good game). Don't like the Knox or Greene matchups at all, and Rice is a huge question mark even if he plays.
thanks i picked up evans anyways just in case if something changes sat night/sunday but for now will be starting Dez, MSW and Garcon
What's your reasoning on Flacco compared to the other two as well as Boldin and Nicks. Nicks has been much more consistant overall and figure he is my must start out of the 3 while Boldin hasn't done as much.
Who would you go as the second WR. Should have made that clear that I need 2 WR but I think Nicks is my must start int hat option. I haven't started Flacco in a long time in this league. I figure Orton airs it out enough since they have no running game and i saw with Oakland did to KC's defense. But then again what do I know.
Falcons pass D is terrible, Flacco should be throwing, Pittsburgh should be able to run on the Patriots, so Ben may not throw as much. I don't see how Nicks can keep this up... Boldin is due for a big day, JMHO. Like I said, flip a coin, I'd be comfortable with either.
You don't think Orton will light it up against KC? Since all they do is throw and don't have a running game? So you are saying to start Lloyd and Boldin? The only reason I would start Boldin is if I start Flacco to get double points I guess.... Sometimes it's better not having choices haha.
KC will run all over Denver, who will only have minimal possessions and will be forced to throw. KC actually has a decent secondary. Don't count on Lloyd or Orton. Boldin or Nicks, flip a coin.
