Yeah. I'm not sure it makes his team better, and I wouldn't advocate a move just for the sake of making a move out of impatience. Calvin Johnson's value is even higher now that Stafford is back and he's going to probably finish the season as the #2/#3 fantasy WR in the league. Johnson alone for Turner is a pretty much a wash, and now you're throwing in another potential starter into the mix.
Stafford against the Bears or Fitzpatrick against the Jets? I'm leaning towards Stafford, especially given how many TD's and fantasy points he got last week.
That's a tougher one. I like Law Firm against Cleveland, but Oakland's run defense is almost as bad as Houston's pass defense. Charles/Jones, while splitting carries, will score an awful lot I think. I'd go with Jones.
Packers on one yard line? Jackson doesn't get the ball. Patriots on the one yard line? Decent chance Ellis gets the ball. That is the primary difference between the two, so you have to take Ellis. Only way you use Jackson is if you are in a PPR league.
Jones. He has been getting solid numbers most of the season, no reason not to expect it to continue against Oakland.
I still wouldn't even use Jackson over Law Firm. They get about the same number of rushes, anyway. Law Firm got more on Sunday (17 vs. 15), for example.
Neither is a great matchup. Fitzpatrick scored well against the Jets in their last meeting, but that came with the game out of reach, and Revis is only getting healthier. The Bears have only given up only 4 TDs compared to 9 INTs while Washington is the right there with the Texans if you discount Jay Cutler's game against them, so take last week with a grain of salt. Simply put, I don't like either choice.
Neither do I, but unfortunately, the only decent choices (and "decent" is being nice) on waivers are: Jon Kitna Colt McCoy Jason Campbell Matt Hasselbeck Matt Moore Derek Anderson Kitna vs. GB may be better than the Stafford or Fitzpatrick, but perhaps not when his receivers keep causing interceptions.
Pick one (also another bad choice, I know): Lee Evans @Chicago Davone Bess @Baltimore Fred Jackson @Chicago This is assuming DeAngelo Williams and Pierre Thomas are back, too. If both are out, I have to go with all three above. If one is out, pick two (and Thomas will probably be out).
I like Bess. Followed by Jackson. Of course then you'll watch Lee Evans go off like he did against Baltimore. I would never draft him because of how inconsistent he is week to week(Of course with his QBs how could you not be).
Looks like Stafford @ QB, then Bess @ flex (Jackson @ RB if either Williams or Thomas aren't playing). Such terrible options with Brandon Lloyd out.
Is Mike Tolbert worth picking up? I would be dropping Marion Barber or Louis Murphy And for my flex spot this week, who should I start? Peyton Hillis vs NE, Steve Johnson vs Chi, Brandon Jacobs @ Sea, or Mario Manningham @ Sea
Just wanted to revisit this thread. I said go with Bowe and Amendola. Of course this was before Collie and Clark were out for the Houston game and I got a lot of flack for picking those 2. Lets see how I did. Numbers are based on standard scoring of course Garcon - 7 rec, 78 yards (7 points) Bowe - 3 rec, 16 yards, 1TD (7 Points) Amendola- 6 rec, 28 yards, 1TD (8 Points) Murphy - Didn't play So did pretty decent with my picks...even though as long as you didn't go with Murphy you were good. Who did you end up going with? Of course if I knew about the injuries I would have picked Garcon in a heart beat.
I would have to agree. Johnson is getting way too many looks in an offense that is strictly passing these days with Fitzpatrick back there. They are going to be down in games most of the time so passing is a priority for them.
I was gonna pick him up a few weeks ago when he started making noise. I completely forgot about him and I was checking the waiver wire today. TO my surprise, he was still available, I couldn't believe it.
