Okay - first, it is true that Larry Krasner is a radical and it is also true that a PAC for his election got like a million dollars from George Soros in the weeks leading up to the election. There is nothing illegal or unethical with Soros giving money to a PAC.

Second, Krasner is someone that is a radical. I do not agree with a lot of his positions. I do agree with some, such as not prosecuting misdemeanor mar1juana possession and not arresting prostitutes and instead arresting the Johns. I don't agree with his no cash bail, I do not agree with his push to release those in jail for decades that killed when they were teenagers.

What I cannot find is any evidence that he or his policies lead to this person being let out of jail. I say this because, the change made in the enforcement and early release was for NON violent crimes. The claim is this guy beat someone to death, so something is off.

I am not surprised though - I said this 2-3 years ago when all these clueless "woke" assholes started getting into the District Attorney offices around the USA, that we are inevitably going to see situations where criminals get out and kill and rape people and there will be severe electoral and social consequences.

We have gone through this before - people are let out, crime goes up and then the public (including minorities in the city) get sick of it and there is an overcorrection.

I know it is controversial, but one of the best pieces of legislation the last 40 years is the Clinton Crime Bill, which did increase the number of people incarcerated, but it also severely cut violent crime. While it is nice to think that someone that murders someone at 17-18 years can be redeemed and let back into society at 30-45 years old - the truth is that some of them will return to committing horrendous crimes and the public gets tired of it.

Apparently this guy (Frye) had been charged with third degree murder of a gay man. He was a bouncer outside of a nigh club and punched someone that fell and died of his injuries a week later. One of the Judges decided that third degree murder was not appropriate, and so he was charged with assault and was out on parole since April and he was arrested for looting in Philadelphia a couple days ago.

So - the question is IF the actual change in policy by the DA led to him being on parole for the last 6 months. The short answer is that I do not know.... but I am not going to assume that is or is not the case.

Last - I have seen some right wing media really criticize the Philadelphia DA and PD for the riots and looting. I don't think that is fair, they ARE arresting people, and already have arrested several hundred people. I get that people do not like seeing inner city black people bring and stealing from stores - but IT isn't a major crime, it isn't like assault or murder.

They dude who raped and killed that liberal white ceo girl shouldn’t have been let out of the system. He tried to kill people that’s why he was in jail in the first place.
What are the odds this guy who got killed got hit by the bail reform or release of a dangerous criminal ?
Because you know the jails are overcrowded and you need let some go

Smh...There's only one law and order Samaritan out of all those bystanders who tried to stop the crime in progress.
