Well yea but I think that guy on a team with Favre playing at such a high level would be pretty sweet but considering they are 10-2, I am sure they aren't complaining.
do you guys think quin and mccain would be a good starting corner combo next season? and with pollard and wilson at safety, we could totally concentrat on our front 7 pass rush
Offense has really stunk this half. Thus, we still can't put together 2 competent halves of football.
I like Quin and McCain. Both them are solid players as rookies. I think Quin is the future starter if D-Rob leaves as expected. Because of McCain's size, I think he has to be a nickle back.
Miami with a big fourth down stop on the Jags. Up 4, with the ball, under 2 minutes left. (Jax with 2 timeouts).
yeah true, but if we can draft a CB in 4th round or sign a veteran we could concentrate on having a great D-line
You still could use another solid CB to go along with Reeves, McCain, and Quin whether that is through free agency or the draft. I think the three areas the Texans could use a upgrade on defense are nose tackle, weakside linebacker, and cornerback. If you can't re-sign Bernard Pollard, you have to find another strong safety.
your right. Thats why i would like them to draft wither McCoy out of oklahoma or terrance cody from alabama in the first, then in the second draft a weakside linebacker, then go RB in the third, and OG or C in the fourth. we might be able to take care of RB, CB, or OLB in free agency too. We will re-sign pollard. i cant see the texans letting him go. them maybe go after carlos rogers from washington too. I really hope that barwin contiues to improve though, because smith gives us nothing at DE, also that veteran center from the titans is a FA, he could help a lot.
Particularly when that pass rush comes from the front 4. I think we will get some internal improvement--Connor Barwin is in only his second season playing defense, only plays about 1/3 of downs, and is still second on the team in sacks. I'd like to see him make the transition to being an every-down defensive player next year. I think the main problem is that our DTs have consistently failed to get any penetration/push, so quarterbacks can safely step up in the pocket and deliver.
When the team is up over 20, you have to run the ball. With a decimated offensive line and back up running backs, the production is not going to be there. Would you rather Kubiak instruct the team to keep throwing the ball?
I absolutely would have them keep throwing. That is Kub's problem, o killer instinct. I would have run up the score and given the offense a bunch of confidence
Absolutely. At this point, play to win with your strengths. Don't play not to lose with your weakness. Offensively, this game was almost a mirror image of our home game against Indy. So in essence, we are lucky that Seattle's offense is nowhere near as potent as Indy's. I am happy w/ won; happy with the D. But this game didn't show us anything we haven't seen before so I am not terribly excited.
