it started happening way before the pandemic but it definitely accelerated it. there are probably as many Warriors fans in Sac at this point than actual Kings fans. with how bad the Kings have been for two decades coupled with how good the Warriors have been for the last decade, there is a generation of Sac kids who grew up with the Warriors as their team (and only less than 90 minutes away). but the Kings know they can charge so much with all the ex Bay Area folks there who want to see the Warriors. hard core Kings fans who have been priced out of this huge run in COL there the past 8+ years probably aren't even in California anymore anyways.
